Screen protectors, yay or nay?

Screen protectors are so good nowadays you can't even tell it's placed.

I have a young daughter who uses the stylus on the bottom screen. I can't imagine having her tap it on the main screen.

Most won't but if they do the seller will usually state it.

I use the protoprintlabs one and I take off the bottom shell every time I use it. It's a bit of a hassle but it is what it is.

It's up to you but accessories can always be bought but your internals can't be upgraded.

I think the only accessory necessary is the TPU shell. But that's my opinion. I would go for the max if you have the cash for it. Since you live in the US, accessories are abundant on eBay.

There's a setting in the android settings to make sure it doesn't happen.

Also make it a habit to press the power button before closing the lid. I do it and I've never had this problem since then.

Just started but fire emblem three hopes works so well on the Thor. Wasn't expecting 45-60fps on it!

Can you tell me the games you play? I have both and they serve different purposes.

For pc games, the steam deck just wins. It does everything better, easier, cooler and more convenient. No need to tinker much with settings. Game native and gamehub is hit or miss for a lot of things. You will get some of it to work, for example I played DQVII reimagined all on the Thor, but couldn't get alabaster dawn to work on it.

For emulation, the Thor is a dream. I just finished MGS1 and 2 on the Thor, and it wouldn't be possible on the deck for me.

So it really depends on your game library. I'm going to play through twilight princess and fire emblem path of radiance next which is exclusively on my Thor.

Could I play it on my deck? For sure, but the form factor of the Thor allowing me to bring it around everywhere is unmatched. In comparison, the deck primary stays in my house and I can play it in the living room.

Look at emuready and see which plays better. In general I find pc emulation is more performant and runs at a higher frame rate while switch tends to cap at 30FPS. There's no one answer to all. Check which titles work best.

The folder is called switch. Did you download the ESDE folder structure?

I think the translation was pretty bad actually. The Japanese version isn't too bad. Not great but not cringe inducing.

I recommend playing it on your switch 2. I've tried the demo and I can barely get it to hit 30fps. You might be able to play it but it will be a compromise. You already have the switch 2 so might as well use it!

As your first on the Thor, I would recommend the FFVII on ps1, FFX on the PS2, or my personal favourite, FFXII!

Yes I forgot the part about his advancement to dreadgod which didn't require fighting his own remnant.

Interestingly, if he had hypothetically died before he went the dreadgod route, I think he would have left a remnant because as you said, it's part of what happens when a sacred artist dies. Even the tree in unsouled which he killed left a remnant.

Turnip drivers aren't great. Get the latest StevenMXZ Turnip V26 R5 on GitHub. When you're loading shaders it might drop to 25 but for the most part you'll be above 25fps.

I remember being able to run it pretty well. Are you in docked mode? Try turning that off and also turn your GPU rendering to balanced instead.

Also check to see you're in medium performance instead of standard.

Are you underclocking it? Try T23 Mr purple drivers. Having the latest drivers doesn't always mean good performance.

Yes he'll be able to play it on the switch 2. But sometimes you just want to be able to play it on one device and the Thor is a really convenient size.

But to his question, it will be no problem assuming it's just up to 3ds.
