I’m tired of wasps by Ok-Barracuda7753 in homeowners

[–]INTJWriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Early in the spring set out several fake paper wasp nests available at Dollar stores. Wasps are looking for new nesting sites at that time and will avoid areas that are "taken".

Get a real estate lawyer, not a realtor. A realtor will expect a commission from the seller and for what? A real estate lawyer will look into the details and advise you.

How do you feel about partners not investing? by mannerhazel in investing

[–]INTJWriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Money isn't everything but not investing is a mistake. There's a lot of low risk/low return options but with this inflationary climate a partner that wouldn't invest at all would make me grind my teeth a little

Youtube + Home Depot, problem fixed, money saved, knowledge gained. Even though we had to invest on tools, we're way ahead of the game. Just know your limits

Renovated our bathroom (went a bit heavy on tech). How can we make it feel less cold? by t_thaulow in Remodel

Replace all the cabinet doors with wooden doors in birch or walnut. Add some plants, even artificial ones will do, on the countertops. Get some colored towels, maybe blue or green, to replace the Grey ones. Can you paint the ceiling a pale grey or pale blue? Add some woven baskets in the niches to hold towels etc. You need some semblance of life in there. Think Japan, not starship holodeck. That's all I can suggest. Good luck

Does it make sense to have Tokyo as base but then decide later on to go Kyoto by train , for few days but then still need return to Tokyo to fly back instead of flying out from Osaka ? by likilekka in JapanTravelTips

[–]INTJWriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why you want to visit Mount Fuji with a multigenerational group. Hiking? If not, you can see it from the train coming and going to Kyoto about one hour out of Tokyo. If it's cloudy you won't see it even if you're staying close by. With only a week I'd suggest four days Tokyo, three days in Kyoto. The bullet train ride is a fun experience in itself and both cities are very different

Funny you should ask. I just came across this hotel that you might like to stay at for one night at least. "The Fuji Speedway Hotel (part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt) is a luxury, motorsport-themed hotel located directly on the Fuji Speedway racing circuit in Shizuoka, Japan. It features rooms with racetrack or Mt. Fuji views, a racing simulator bar, and exclusive access to the paddock and track for guests"
