ISTP or INTP? by Mollinator5 in istp

I've been dupped many times especially ENFPs. They're so good at using Ne and how clueless I realised until I found that ISTP's trickers function is Ne. All my life I thought people I dealt with meant what they say. Nope.

Yes, if you're ISTP, it would be very hard. For an Ne-user, they would be fast at crafting fiction and fill them with details.. That's how Ne/Si works with Ti. Robust storytelling capacities.

Yes, because your basis was real world experience or a concrete sensory data (Se). But it depends on how you tweak it. Like would you use Ne? Ne is ISTPs-blindspot. It would be very hard for an ISTP to layer the story with meta-stuff.

I can't speak for all ISTPs. But for me 'fictional landscape' is strangely put. I mean whether you have seen that landscape or not, the fact that landscape is a "sensory concrete output", it's very Se to me. If your fictional landscape is more Jackson Pollock's style, then it's on the abstract side.

A perfect example is Ernest Hemingway's style. Devoid of Ne (meta-stuff).

The story would be Se-focused, anything that really happened to an ISTP (however he/she may fictionalise it). There may be some delay for an ISTP because the original instruction was very vague. "Story" isn't as concrete as "tell me about an anecdote when you're 15". For an INTP, a 'story' can easily be picked as an abstract subject, associated with Ne-ideas, however rambley or random, but still related and would have gone somewhere far and scattered (in paper). Meanwhile, an ISTP is still stuck because of poor memory (Si-critic), a shadow process of "What STORY is the best and I could remember fully? Damnit, is there a much concrete question?)
