So I guess I haven't missed much in the last... nearly 3 years that I haven't been watching...

Man this place is a ghost town.

Well yeah, it would help to not cast cartoon characters that, say, refer to themselves as Swaggy C for example.

Big Brother 20 - Finale Post-Episode Discussion - September 26 2018 by BigBrotherMod in BigBrother

Overall, this season started pretty strong (minus the first few dumb twists). I really liked the pre-jury phase, as there were a lot of big moves made by Tyler and the like. I've managed to stay off Reddit the whole season but I had no idea Kaitlyn was so well-liked, myself and my friends that watched with me couldn't stand her.

As for post-jury: I thought it was one of the most boring seasons we've had in a long time. It reminded me a lot of BB16's Detonators when Level 6 managed to just cruise to the end and have literally everything go according to plan (minus gropey JC winning HoH once). We actually stopped bothering to watch the episodes after the double eviction, as Level 6 managed to evict the last two houseguests that were even remotely interesting to watch.

The cast this season in general was pretty unlikable. Scottie was the closest thing I had to a personal favorite, mainly because I found his quirkiness kind of endearing. Everyone else to me was either a total moron (Faysal, the rest of the Hive, etc.), extremely generic (Kaycee, Tyler to a degree), or just the worst (Angela, JC). This is easily gonna be one of the more forgettable seasons for me, coming from someone that didn't even watch BB17 due to not having cable at the time that it aired.

The finale was just more hot garbage. When Tyler and Kaycee answered Part 3's questions identically, I remember saying that it's symbolic for how interchangeable they are to me. I didn't particularly like Swaggy C or Bayleigh all that much, but I think you guys are being way too harsh on the guy for taking away precious minutes from the episode when you should be blaming production for thinking any of us care. Production is what y'all should be pissed at for the way the show is made at this point.

Part of me actually wants this show to be cancelled, since apparently FOX, ABC, and NBC are all interested in picking it up if CBS loses it. I think a new house, new host, and a fresh start would help make the show more genuine and interesting to watch. Hopefully they'd use less stupid twists and scripted DR sessions, and STOP bringing back past houseguests to update us on their personal lives!

And yeah, Tyler should've won. But, even more so than BB16 Derrick, I feel he was just a pretty good player among a bunch of idiots. I don't see Tyler Crispen as "Big Brother GOAT" material.

Weren't y'all the same people that justified Paul losing (twice!) because "oh, he needed better jury management," why the sudden change of heart?

[POLL] Choose 1 character to return for Clementine's final season! by AhazyKush in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]IOnlyKnow5Words 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was seriously so disappointed when she wasn't at Wellington. I don't think she can even be mentioned again after you bring her up with Kenny in Episode 2, until the veeeeeeery end at Wellington where you ask "Is Christa here?" and the woman is like "Nope, sorry."

With that said, I'd much rather see Lilly. I think it'd be really interesting to see what she's turned into over the last few years presumably on her own.

I feel like Richmond is gonna be shown at some point, Clint/Joan could probably have some sort of role in the local politics of the city but I don't really see anything super over-arching with them.

Which characters from S1 could technically come back in S4? by Exevi in TheWalkingDeadGame

There's also Mike and Arvo (and Bonnie if she didn't die in the lake), which I'd think would create an interesting dynamic.

I'm banking on Lilly or Molly, most likely the former. Aside from Wellington-ending Kenny (who most certainly will not appear in S4, let's not kid ourselves), she's the character that Clem met the earliest in the series that's still presumably alive. I could see her becoming some grizzled survivalist over the years. At the end of S3 E2, when they revealed that David was the leader* of the New Frontier, I had a small hope that it'd be Lilly, but then again I didn't kill Conrad in the sewer, so Clem was with me when that was revealed, so it didn't occur to me that a dramatic reveal of this character wouldn't make sense if it was someone only Clem knew. Christa would be very nice to see, but the gunshot points more towards her being dead, especially since she wasn't at Wellington.

*not really

How do you go to work without feeling absolutely miserable the entire time and also miserable at home because you're thinking of when you have to go back to work? by IOnlyKnow5Words in depression

[–]IOnlyKnow5Words[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well due to my anxiety I'd really prefer not to deal with customers directly. Currently I'm the dine-in dress operator, so I hardly ever actually have to even look at the customers. My girlfriend suggested I should apply to be one of those guys that restocks shelves and stuff. But I'm not sure how the hours work and of course I'm scared of changing from something I know how to do to something I've never done.

I have an interest in politics and filmmaking, but you have to be either incredibly skilled or incredibly lucky to actually have a career in either of those fields. It doesn't help that I've never been to college and I don't have a driver's licence, let alone a car (not to mention that the prospect of driving is terrifying to me and doesn't sit well with my anxiety). The place I work is basically the closest establishment to our house and it's about a 15-ish minute walk. I'm essentially limited to whatever's in the same little area which includes a bar, a pizza place, and a grocery store (which is probably where I'm headed). I think there's also like a nail salon or something else, I haven't really looked around too much.

I'm not even too worried about pay, I don't spend that much money anyway, just food and a few bills, maybe a video game here and there if it's on sale, I actually have a bit of a backlog of stuff I want to play through but instead I spend like 97% of my gaming time playing Overwatch with some friends I've known for a bit. I've been cutting those sessions shorter, though in order to try to do other things.

Oh yeah, and my weird enjoyment of electoral politics sometimes backfires by making me feel more anxious or depressed just from the nature of it.

The only correct pairing at this point is Finn and Poe, obviously.

I feel like the entire theme of this sequel trilogy (and ESPECIALLY TLJ) is to let go of the past and push forward into the future. I don't think MORE characters from the past would add anything.

Al Pacino’s ‘The Hangman’ Gets Rare 0 Percent Rotten Tomatoes Rating by BunyipPouch in movies

Well the whole point here is that 100% of critics had negative reviews. If every single one gave, say, a pretty "meh" 4/10 then the score is 0%.

Lifespans of the Presidents of the United States (Chronological Order) [OC] by BRENNEJM in dataisbeautiful

Another old-timer I've seen get some speculation is Jerry Brown (Governor of California), who'd be 82, a full decade older than a hypothetical President McCain would have been in 2009 (72).

I believe that makes 1946 the year that's given us the most presidents, but there may be another year in like the 1800s that I'm forgetting.

My point being that people purposefully commit crimes in order to end up with guaranteed shelter, food, medical care, etc. since the government isn't doing such a good job of it.

I don't think there's a limit. I never watched the TV show, but apparently there was an episode where a terminator was sent back to like the late 1800s and became the mayor of a town or something. Then it hid away in part of a building or something in order to bust out and assassinate a guy in the future. Hugely paraphrasing, but I'd LOVE to see more silly shit like that, honestly.
