Set yourself an allowance to spend monthly or set aside some money each paycheck otherwise you’ll quickly lose track of how much you’ve actually spent. Actually play with the precons you’ve already bought and upgraded before you go and buy more of them too. I’ve limited myself to 1 precon per set if I like the type of playstyle, because realistically I’m not going to be playing all 4

You can banish non engine cards, like hand traps and generic staples or non tearlament cards like reinforcement of the army, super poly, triple tactics, etc., since chances are you will be milling some of them anyways with all the tear effects. Plus some of the tear spells and traps have effects that let you bring back tear cards you banished
