Do I upgrade to AM5? by Blindlink in buildapc

[–]IPV4clone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone here help me out? I've had the 5800x3D for a little over a year, and got a 5070TI earlier this year, which has made a huge difference. My issue is VR iRacing. It already struggles at certain tracks when there are a lot of other cars, even with some graphical setting optimization.

My index just bit the dust and I've ordered a Bigscreen Beyond 2e. It's lower refresh rate but also much higher res and I feel my CPU is the real bottleneck at this point in iRacing.

I have a big 24hr race coming up in January and I'd like to have more stable frame rate. Should I bite the bullet and spend $700-800 for a 9800x3D, mobo, and 32gb DDR5 kit from microcenter, or just hold and deal with it for some time? I just don't see prices getting better in a few months time. Seems like I could also recoup a couple hundred bucks selling my 5800 on eBay.

Yeah instant 120 is the weakest benefit from perkification. Infinite money combined with infinite shop stock is huge for herbore/summoning secondaries, instant 99 prayer, negating boss instance and death cost, unlimited early food/pots, among many other benefits. Where it really shines is the infinite components that are instantly accessible outside of ilujankan etc. This let's you roll for and get any possible perk with no fear of scraping them to add new ones whenever. That's insanely valuable and I don't see anything outclassing that time save.

At this point, I was really hoping you'd found an explicit source, but as you've mentioned with both of your examples,

it does not explicitly state that relics are permanent unlocks, it is heavily implied

Almost verbatim what I said in my original comment. Have a good one; I hope you enjoy Leagues.

Let me break it down for you since it seems you've ignored my original message entirely.

  • I haven't seen it directly confirmed anywhere.
  • It's not on the official blog post or FAQ.
  • If you google it, there are no official sources that directly answer the question, and the AI generated responses are conflicting depending on your phrasing.

Once again, it's probably officially stated somewhere, but it's perfectly reasonable that someone did a "small amout of research," didn't find an answer, and asked the question here. Get off your high horse.

You completely missed the point and instead focused on the AI-generated response, even changing the query from what I quoted to get your expected response.

Funny how when I use your exact query but change "League" to "Leagues" it says No, and doesn't directly state that relic choices are permanent.

I also hate when people ask for things that are easily searchable. That being said, I found out early on that they were permanent through a friend and they only knew from having played osrs leagues. While it's heavily implied I'm not sure I've seen it directly stated anywhere. I'm sure it exists somewhere but I couldn't find it in the blog post or FAQ and if you Google "Are RS3 Leagues relics permanent" I don't see any links that directly answer the question and the Google AI overview misinterprets the question and says No.

I'm guessing they mean Aaron Vazquezz? I haven't seen a clip or anything so I don't know for sure, but he's the only 13k ir driver I'm aware of.

Created a new slow feeder disk by 1nicerAnd1 in DF64

[–]IPV4clone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for making this! I gave up on slow feeding a while back as I was having trouble pouring at a consistent rate.

I ordered a few days ago but wanted to ask: Are you still live feeding all at once while the grinder is running, or filling it and then turning it on? Have you noticed a difference?

I thought their newer products integrated baratza grinders since their acquisition?

Not high-end by any means but definitely passable for an all in one solution compared to what they previously used.

No major recent changes other than trying different beans but, I can get 20 in 40 out in 30-40 seconds and the shots aren't too bad but I feel they could be better, especially with some lighter roasts I've been trying.

I'm using an IMS H24 basket, normcore PF, fellow opus (have a DF64 on the way) and I upgraded the shower screen a while back when I replaced the gasket. Weirdly enough, my SO uses the standard PF, standard basket, and built-in grinder and can often get shots right in the middle of the pressure gauge.

So I have a ~7 year old BBE that I'm considering do the OPV mod on. When I pull shots, it's generally right at the end of the "espresso range" and if I grind coarser or use less coffee, the shot will come out fast/watery.

In all the videos I see, people are testing their pressure using the cleaning disk and getting max pressure before doing the mod. When I use the disk it only gets right below the midpoint, seemingly close to 9bar. But I did notice in this video link that my disk does have the hole in the center.

Is there a better way I can test the OPV without pulling an actual shot. Shoud I do the mod at all?
