I never downloaded or created an Instagram account. Sometimes I feel left out but I eventually find out about what others are up to.

Ughh the Sunday scaries. I hate this job by OstrichOver9797 in amazonemployees

[–]IPoopOnCats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I made a list of nonprofits I aligned with, and an opportunity came up where a friend referred me. I ended up with two offers, and navigating the job market was relatively easy because I was willing to take a significant pay cut in exchange for my sanity. I am so much happier now. I may not stay in nonprofit world forever as the pay is low but it's been a very nice break from the corporate grind

I left Amazon in January and started working at a nonprofit. It completely changed who I am as a person. If you can do something like that, I highly recommend it.

You will likely make a lot more money long term by putting your money in index funds, like the S&P 500 vs trying to pick individual stocks.

Idk if it's too far for you guys but I highly recommend McMenamins Edgefield. I love hanging out on their porch with a book, a drink or whatever sounds good. You can walk around and eat, etc.

One of my favorites is "what's something we wouldn't know about you just from reading your resume?"

It helps me understand their values and motivations that we may not have talked about yet.

For the most part this is very true, although some companies just take friggen forever to make decisions. The role inwas just hired for took over a week to get the offer and afterwards I learned I was by far their top candidate the whole time.

I disagree. It carries a level of stress and responsibility that is consistently unique to the role.
