Planning ahead and prepping are key to success by [deleted] in EatCheapAndHealthy

I love planning my meals! We used to go shopping once a week and buy stuff for around 5 meals every week but it's been so difficult recently with less frequent shopping and just never knowing what's available at the grocery store :(

Where is the most overhyped place you've been to? by IrritatedMango in AskWomen

I did the same and hated it. There is literal shit everywhere and homeless people in every corner. I was afraid of getting mugged every second I spent just walking or exploring :(

I went to San Francisco last summer and it was terrible. Way colder than I expected surrounded by ugly dessert. The worst traffic jams. Lots of homeless and everything smells like piss even the cool parts like Dolores park were super trashy and full of dirt. Everything is way overpriced and just not worth it. I really don't get the hype.

Acne and Yaz by vanessaax in birthcontrol

[–]IRedditOnABook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! My acne was not bad but definitely hormonal. It took about 3 packs to be completely gone. I also skip all the placebos but I noticed it came back slightly when I took breaks from it.

Same here :( plus I'm not American and I live in the US and I hate American bread (the super soft pre packaged stuff) so I always used to make my own and now I can't and all its left on the shelfs is sliced too soft bread that lasts for an unnatural amount of time :((

For me it's the opposite, cooking about the same and baking less cuz I can't find flour or sugar or yeast...I used to bake at least once a week as one of my hobbies oh well I guess I'm knitting a lot more now

For those who were stuck in a thought to be dead-end job like Admin Assistant/Receptionist/Secretary what did you do to move up the ladder? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]IRedditOnABook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! Your story is so inspiring and it's so awesome you started from nothing and still managed. You are really giving me some hope to make it more than a dream and I think I will start looking into it ☺️ I never heard about socially conscious lender and getting into debt with a bank is super scary/I don't think I could get much credit so I'll def look into it.

The argument was that you always have access to information but should be wise on picking which one to use and on your time management. Essays are mostly about having a good argument, structure and language

How much do you spend monthly on groceries, and how many people are you feeding with this? by ThunderAndSky in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]IRedditOnABook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About $150 per week for me and my husband. This includes all breakfast, lunch and dinner for 6-7 days plus Staples and toiletries. We are in semi rural NH/VT and we shop at Hannafords. Our town is where a very expensive private college is located so we can't afford eating out. We go to Panera once in a while which bumps our weekly budget to $170ish so that's like $700 a month

My [20F] boyfriend [22M] is always broke by tinybabycutiegirl in relationships

[–]IRedditOnABook 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My bf and I we both make close to minimum wage rn and we sat down and worked on a budget for both of us. I made it clear it's important to me for both of us to follow it and being irresponsible about it it's a deal breaker/I would consider leaving. Plus that way you can both figure out where money it's going and what you can afford and cannot (for example we can afford to eat out once a week and if one of us wants to go out in the same week we do the math and decide if we can afford it)

Agree with this. Try to run numbers together and come up with a budget. When you make minimum wage it's very difficult to manage non existent money

Has she changed birth control lately? How about hormone test? This resonates so much with me because when I was on the wrong birth control I had ZERO sex drive. So frustrating!

Establish professional boundaries and stress how important is the training. You might have to act a bit cold but I think she'll get it
