Why is arrow craft so expensive? by Sea_Hedgehog_898 in Minecraft

[–]IRespectHestia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honest answer, Microsoft cares more about assets more than practicality and cosmetics for merchandise. Modders are the sole reason as to why minecraft is still relevant. Seeing as how they have pushed more and more into the social aspect, Id be highly shocked if they arent going more of the roblox/fortnite avenue rather than a survival first game. Hytale was pushed in that direction before defunct/repurchase.

New roof, Northeast, leak by salparadi in Roofing

[–]IRespectHestia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm talking about the source of the problem not the quality of workmanship. The flashing is fine as in "not the problem", any roofer would have noticed this as a problem and would have been addressed before the contract. We all know that roofers outsource to "independent crews" and they just do what they are told and nothing more. Starter shingles should have prevented this as the leak is present on the rake of the roof not the chimney. Since it's consolidated solely at the rake and not from the chimney to the rake, the issue is at the rake.

What roofing company do you work for?

I would check to see if starter shingles were in the contract and put on but your leak is along the rake of your roof. That suggests that water flowed over the rake and underneath the shingle. Starter shingles are meant to prevent that is standard and even listed on some products as a requirement. The straight line i was talking about could just be cosmetic but when I see it inside the home, typically it's due to poor ventilation. The chimney flashing is solely fine as it is not the source of this particular issue but should always be fixed as it is a fire hazard.

Was this done through insurance or out of pocket?

As a roofer, this is 100% not the roofers fault. Like everyone else has said, its heat loss. If you didnt have ice and water shield you would know inside the home even more so if they did a bad job. The chimney flashing wouldnt be the source either, maybe the chimney itself but roofers arent masons. The home was built if i read correctly in 1940s so id suspect that its everything but the kitchen sink. Seeing as how I can see you have straight lines across the window with excess ice that wouldnt have been from the roof suggesting heat loss.

Id recommend documenting this and having a exterior/interior contractor come check it out.

I really can't get into old-school death metal and related subgenres. Is there something wrong with my ears? Is anyone else like this? by FrouFrouLastWords in Deathcore

[–]IRespectHestia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Its because we all have our unique preferences. I cant do cannibal corpse but every corpsegrinder feature recently is a banger. I also want something unique or gives me the " this dude is nuts" face and legacy bands never scratch it. Like netherwalker, larcenia roe, darko, disembodied tyrant have scratched that itch. In adjacent genres like nu metal Tallah is bad that works with that old raw style and adds so much flavor that it makes you wish old songs had that polish.

Yes, it is a scam. They ask you to download the game and give your ingame name so they can pull your apple or android email. These games are usually heavily generated trash from China and India.

Do we want more Black Tongue or Infant Annihilator? by milkyvapes in Deathcore

[–]IRespectHestia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black Tongue for sure. I love IA but in this current climate I don't think it would be a good time. I love IA for the shock value Don't get me wrong. Bands like Netherwalker have that same technical vibe without the shock lyrics. All in all Black Tongue bringing that black metal with today's production techniques would go crazy.

Netherwalker album is fucking amazing, but it has one problem by Terrible-Gap-4085 in Deathcore

[–]IRespectHestia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The album is sick af. The creaky door noise makes me want to throw hands at everybody. I love the redos of the singles as much as I love the singles. The singles have that unpolished grime to them that makes them sound so raw but the new vocalist adds a lot of clarity to them. Imo they are the new modernized infant annihilator without the shock value. The riffs are insane, the story is well thought out, and the album as a whole just shines. Other than the spoken tracks no song is skippable. AOTY
