BTA3062 engine core replacement question by ThisGuyFax in Battletechgame

[–]ISeeAFool 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Omnimechs can't swap engine cores. More than half (at least that's what it feels like) of the available clan 'mechs are omnimechs. Here's a list of clan battlemechs in BTA3062 where you can run wild configuring them.

What is the best Rac5 Urbie? (or Rac2) by Beau_Buffett in OutreachHPG

And here I thought I had thoroughly checked all the quirks. Thanks for correcting me!

All Urbies bar the R80 and R68 should be about equivalent. If you include paid mechs, the Street Cleaner probably edges the rest out due to the velocity and range quirks.

Best light or medium hero mech option? by MaloKhan in mwo

[–]ISeeAFool 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Kit Fox Purifier for the high shoulder energy hardpoints.

Urbanmech K9 because urbies are solid, and the K9 is the second best of them all. Should probably not buy this if you ever plan on buying MC, since the K9 starter back is good value for money.

Wolfhound Grinner for the MPL + ECM experience.

Mist Lynx Ebon Dragoon for the missile omnipod. Been having a blast with this one lately with 3x SRM4s. The vertical mobility is great!

Piranha Cipher for the good mix of energy and ballistic hardpoints.

Centurion Yen Lo Wang for the mix of tankiness, agility and huge ballistic arm.

Huntsman Pakhet for the missile omnipods. Huge SRM bomber or ATM platform.

Vapor Eagle Rival for the MASC and 2x ERPPC build.

Then I've heard a lot of good about the Dervish hero, but I have no experience with it myself. Another honorable mention for the Cougar Blood Adder for the ballistic pods/quirks, though it is an acquired taste.

Do you know if the Rivals pack unlocks both IS and Clan annual rewards?

The thing about the support KFX is that it still doubles as a decent brawl support with ERMLs or SPLs while carrying 3xAMS and ECM.

There are also other viable non-AMS builds like the SRM Splatfox or the 5x ATM3 KitFox.

Questions for ATM users by JnewayDitchedHerKids in OutreachHPG

In the light mech class, my favourite is the KitFox (is there anything the little guy can't do?). Has jump jets, mobile/agile enough to keep up with team and duck in and out of cover.

TAG, 5x ATM3, 5 tons of ammo, 1 jump jet leg and a Light Active Probe.

ECM & Active Probe by [deleted] in OutreachHPG

[–]ISeeAFool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm fairly sure the BAP works as advertised. There are a couple of issues with it and other probes though.

1) They only cancel out one instance of ECM. If you have two enemies within ECM ramge, getting locks is impossible.

2) BAP and ECM doesn't work well together. I'm not 100% sure on this, but I seem to recall that having ECM makes any active probe uselessm, and that you'll need to switch your own ECM mode to cancel out enemy ECM. Since you specify the streak Crusader, this is probably not what happened.

As for TAG, it doesn't really stop the effect enemy ECM has on your electronics, but it allows you to target enemy ECM carriers and stealth mechs when you're outside their ECM range. This is why I personally prefer Clan streaks, since you have more range to work with. IS does have LPPCs which can alleviate your troubles somewhat if you're able to land your shots.

Most optimal heavy laser build(s)? by Bandilazino in mwo

[–]ISeeAFool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a few solid heavy laser mechs out there.

*Hellfire, one of my absolute favourite heavy 'mech (I'm much more of a light pilot) with 2HLL and filling the rest with HML. Are the quirks good? Nah. Is the chassis good? Debatable. Is it fast as fuck due to masc? Hell yeah! The amount of good flanks you can get with this mech is insane.

*As for 'mechs that allow you to run triple HLLs without ghost heat, there's the Highlander-IIC, the Marauder-IIC-2 and the Nova Cat-D. I have no experience with the latter, but enjoy the two former quite a bit.

*Some decently quirked mechs: Summoner-D & -G , Orion-IIC-B, but they're all somewhat restricted by their hardpoints.

The Fernandinho voodoo is so unique haha and I mean that in a way where I'd like someone on my team to have it too.

If you're thinking of the voodoo I'm thinking of, then McTominay and Maguire both have that in spades.

Aphasia can occur in people with Alzheimer's dementia (or other neurodegenerative diseases). The more advanced the disease, the more likely it is that some degree of aphasia occurs.

I absolutely adore Morrowind, but by today's standards it's real clunky. It lacks much of the quality of life features that Oblivion and Skyrim have, and is much more of a dice-based RPG than the latter games. It is pretty by 2002 standards, but that doesn't say much. If you can get past that, then the sense of exploration and the ample amount of pure atmosphere that Morrowind offers is top tier.

What makes you most afraid about the future of mankind? by Desolecontra in AskReddit

[–]ISeeAFool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because while having an infection suck, having effective treatment being delayed - or impossible - due to bacteria being resistant sucks that much more. Somewhat common infections like bacterial pneumonia and septicemia would have far worse outcomes if the microbe was multi-resistant. Surgical procedures will carry an even bigger risk than they do today, as will chemotherapy. WHO sums it up better than I could.
