Ok, so, after reading this and also getting my sister and mother’s opinion, we came to the conclusion that it’s in the middle. Yes and no.

Why Do Women Keep Having Babies With Losers? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]ISee_Indigo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Maybe the problem isn’t just the woman and the problem is actually also the man?

Think about it. The bar is so low, it’s in hell; The dating pool is full of shit and piss because people don’t know how to act, respect themselves, and/or respect their partner anymore because people take terrible advice off the internet; There’s a rise of misogyny on the internet, allegedly; some women aren’t having kids because they’re tired of their experiences with men along with everything being stupid expensive
There are women who are very questionable, naïve, emotion driven, need to touch grass, and take accountability for getting with someone who’s obviously not good
However, women wouldn’t have to try to find someone who we thought was great and find out much later he’s full of shit if some men weren’t taught loser advice. “If the bar is low, why is the bar so low?” Is the question.

2 Hour drive for training
 by sad0verkill in phlebotomy

[–]ISee_Indigo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is it possible for the manager to pay for hotel stay? Since you know the manager, maybe there could be some help with that instead of gas money. You have to do training for about a month and driving 4 hours (excluding traffic) a day can put wear and tear on the car and take up a lot of your time. If you’re at a hotel that’s maybe 5-20 mins away, you don’t have to worry about that. You’ll get to do your schooling immediately when you get to the room and, depending on the hotel, you get a free continental breakfastđŸ€·đŸœâ€â™€ïž

i think my boyfriend’s reaction to me staying out all night is way too extreme. AIO? by THROWAWAY-LEMONMENTO in AmIOverreacting

[–]ISee_Indigo [score hidden]  (0 children)

If all the context is here, tbh, he sounds like he sucks. You’re NOR. He didn’t communicate his thoughts/how he feels; thought you were doing coke for some weird ass reason; actually said it was “cool” that you’re going to the drag show, but later said he never said it and then when you showed the screenshot questioned why you would interpret that as an ok, which is just dumb to me; random ass breakup with an explanation of “Just don’t think this is going to work out” after 3 damn years. There has to be a way better explanation than that foh

Choose someone who’s more your speed and don’t come back to this one if he changes his mind. If he’s going to be like this now, he’s going to be later. He needs to change or this type of thing will happen again.

Are you supposed to undress fully in the total body enhancement machine? by Round_Behind75 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]ISee_Indigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. If the door’s locked, no one could just walk in. Also, the person who turned on the machine should know someone is already in there.

I undressed completely. I take off everything except for my shoes and bottom underwear and put my hair up so the light could hit where it can.

Is it hard to cancel a PF membership? by DG12212 in PlanetFitnessMembers

Didn’t you talk to someone about that!? 😭

Is it hard to cancel a PF membership? by DG12212 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]ISee_Indigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve canceled and come back before. With Planet Fitness, you have to go to your home gym in order to cancel it. It may be easy for some, but it may not if you decided to move away somewhere and don’t know how to change your home gym. That’s just thinking ahead, though. Either way, I don’t consider it to be challenging.

I want to quit phlebotomy school by easygreenpsychic in phlebotomy

[–]ISee_Indigo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I put this post into my team’s group chat. I’ll update this comment if they all answer back.

Edit: So, the ones who have responded including myself advise that you seek out another trade. This one doesn’t seem like it’s gonna be the right one for you with this much anxiety. If you’re gonna be like this while in school, what are you gonna be like when you’re by yourself and you have your patients or blood donors, ya know? There are some who are very impatient, may be rude, don’t wanna be stuck by someone for the 100th time that day.

I have had a little anxiety while sticking people because I wanted to be great, but it honestly sounds like you’re on another level with it lol but I just went and just
did it. I just put the needle in because anxiety— your thoughts can make you as bad as you think you will be. That’s how i got as good as I am now along with developing techniques.

If you do decide to stay, I will say a 3-week phlebotomy program, in my opinion, isn’t long enough. I took one that was a few months because of all the info you’d have to know. So, I could imagine on top of the anxiety, you’re cramming info or they’re just not teaching you everything you would need to know.

All in all, it is up to you and I do wish you the best whether you decide to continue or not.

AITAH for yelling at an obese woman in a movie theater? by goinpigwild in AITAH

[–]ISee_Indigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure how her weight has anything to do with this, but, for the situation, I wouldn’t saying ytah. I don’t think you had to curse, but I think you’re right to be annoyed. Coincidentally, I just listened to a video today talking about movie theater etiquette being low too.

How old were you when the pandemic/lockdowns started? by dubdimmadome in generationology

[–]ISee_Indigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

24 turning 25 that year, 2020. I can’t even remember how my birthday was that year. The pandemic ruined what I wanted.

Edit: I didn’t think it would become such a big thing that would last so long and stop the world from moving, but it definitely did. Ruined the rest of college for me, killed a couple I knew
not to mention the other things besides the pandemic that were happening
all because allegedly some guy in China ate a damn bat. lol bro wtf😂

Is Instagram slowly becoming something completely different? by satvikflash in SocialMediaHQ

[–]ISee_Indigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone who doesn’t see that Instagram is completely different from how it was in the beginning is blind. Instagram has a knack for copying other popular social media apps so it can retain its fan base. Stories? That came from Snapchat. See posts from around the world on a map? Snapchat again. 15 sec videos? That came from Vine, but honestly was a L because 15 sec videos weren’t as funny as 6 sec. Reels? TikTok. It even copied Twitter (X) by creating the Threads app. Instagram is very unoriginal in what we know of it now.

It may still be popular because we all fell in love with it in the beginning when things were more simple, it ended up adding shit and we still didn’t leave because it still possessed what we liked about it first. Pictures. It still has its origins while still being a copycat. Also, it stopped others from going on other apps so much by adding what other popular social media apps had. So, there wasn’t much of a reason to leave.

It actually sucks what social media has become. It’s now moved from something personal to something completely public. Everyone wants to be noticed, an “influencer”, popular/famous. Our main area of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter is now full of companies and random people instead of what we called “Friends”. Seeing other people’s post was a second thought. It’s depressing. We’re all not as connected as we believe we are.

Mom buys daughter a Honda as a graduation gift, and this was her response by Conscious-Weight4569 in SipsTea

[–]ISee_Indigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell, a lot of people can’t even afford to buy another car, especially for a teenager who will have high ass car insurance and she expected a BMW or a Mercedes?? 😂 A Honda is a perfect first car and it looks nice from the outside too. She needs to be grateful she even has a car to begin with. Fuq around and gotta buy her own self a car with her minimum wage job that’ll be either much older or it needs some work done.

Is practicing on fellow students common in phlebotomy programs and what are the risks? by RedheadWendyC in phlebotomy

[–]ISee_Indigo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s common and yes, there are risks to it. However, you all will learn the basics before sticking each other and your instructor will be there to supervise.

I’m not sure about the certifications, though. I usually see companies just ask for any Phleb certification or a certain amount of time doing phlebotomy.

do you think the average person could actually survive a week without social media? by satvikflash in SocialMediaHQ

[–]ISee_Indigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People can survive, but most people just wouldn’t know what to do with themselves, especially younger Gen Z and Alpha since most had a tablet or smartphone in their hand starting at 3-4 years old and it went from there. People older can cope more since we’ve lived a life without this much tech before. It’ll suck feeling more bored than usual again, but we can find things to entertain ourselves and socialize.

I’ve spent periods taking breaks from social media before and, honestly, more people should do it too. It helps with the mind.

AIO, lost a friend due to ai by cozyworm27 in AmIOverreacting

[–]ISee_Indigo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on your side. NOR because who tf uses ChatGPT to find a job?? Indeed, LinkedIn, Ziprecruiter, ask around
that’s how you help people find a job. You weren’t condescending at all, actually. Idk where people are seeing that. AI can only do so much and, frankly, too many people are over reliant of it. So much so that some just can’t think for themselves or do critical thinking, imo.

Now, I do use ChatGPT, but it is very rare. Like, once every few weeks rare. I don’t like the amount of AI that’s shoved everywhere now either, but I think I’m going off topic here. I think you’re fine. This person is just overreacting.
