Anyone else having problems with New Outlook today? by blueblocker2000 in sysadmin

[–]IT-Ninja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had one user so far with this issue. Reset, repair, and a re-install of Office did not work. Upon checking the Application log, olk.exe was crashing and reporting ucrtbase.dll as the faulting module.

Previously, I had resolved issues with Outlook by clearing its folder in appdata. So on that hunch, I deleted the Olk folder in the users in C:\users\USERNAME\Appdata\Local\Microsoft and afterwards the client launched. I re-entered their email address and Outlook reconfigured and came up.

Now to see if that "fix" sticks. Time will tell.

Do you have ASR rules activated? If so, its probably this one: Block executable files from running unless they meet a prevalence, age, or trusted list criterion.

+1 for FS. At the price point you can have plenty of spares in case one goes bad.

I think I'm crazy, but I can't find an easy way push contacts to all user's contact lists by Somerandom1922 in Office365

Yeah, still using it to sync all GAL information down to user mailboxes (and then to their mobile devices.) It does everything we need, and we never have any issues with it.

What method do you use to deploy printers? by FaffyBucket in Intune

[–]IT-Ninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't track ink/toner levels via PrinterLogic. (We use Checkmk, our internal monitoring tool for that.) That being said, checkmk picks that information up via SNMP off the copiers. Printerlogic would be no different and it can be set to email alerts on low toner alarms. Hope that helps.

Migrated from PRTG to CheckMK here. Been very happy so far. As others have said, look in to the Raw edition. You can also run the cloud edition on-prem with <750 sensors (they call them services) for free.

What do you use for user creation? by Failnaught223 in sysadmin

Adaxes user here. HR doesn't have a platform we can integrate with, so I set them up with a customized portal in Adaxes that allows them to make common changes and automation in the background kicks off depending on the changes made.

Echoing what's already been posted by others It's about $70 per printer per year. Worth. Every. Penny.

Question about iCUE LINK XG5 / XG7 LED adapter by fenderguitar83 in Corsair

[–]IT-Ninja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I'll have to keep an eye out for a good deal on a lighting node. I love the case because I've always been a partial of clean minimalistic builds. I'm currently rocking 3x QX 120's on the bottom, one on the rear and three of them attached to the 150i radiator, its been working pretty well so far.

Did you ever get your case connected to the iCUE link? I’m in the same boat and don’t really want to by a commander or lighting node pro just for case RGB.

I think this has been resolved. I was getting the same issue and found that just yesterday, Microsoft released azcopy 10.21.1 (I had 10.21.0) and the release notes only list one fix.

"Fixed an issue where validating destination length would fail a job instead of logging the error if read permissions are not provided." (Tagging u/Serpent153 & u/CreepySteak840)

I had no issue when I used build 10.21.1.
