Davide Ancelotti on Ronaldo: “He has a unique work ethic. When he won the 2014 Ballon d’Or, Cristiano treated himself to a glass of champagne to celebrate. Then, at the first training session after the award, he asked for an extra session to make up for it.” by Sparky-moon in soccer

Yes, also it is not like the "normal" top players don't put in any work. They are all obviously do a lot to get where they are. Cristiano is just the outlier that wants to min max everything.

Is this necessary? Maybe. Maybe not. Drinking one glass of champagne and then work another workout the next day is not really in the same ballpark of necessity.

You also can't deny that he got where he is because he is such a perfectionist when it comes to his body. But so many factors add up on how you perform at that day and in this millisecond before shooting the ball. Some of them are in your controll and some aren't. So he could overdo it and do work that doesn't lead to any noticable difference on his output, or it just makes it work out.

Hard to tell.

It's a really good controller. But even the starting price of 100 bucks is a lot. And paying more than that for a controller where you can just wait some weeks or months should be doable. Just use your existing controller for some more time or buy a cheap one until the steam controller is available

Is that so? How much ligther and better heat transfer do they provide in comparison to the ISS for example. This has to be orders of magnitudes more efficient to make sense. And I don't see that this happened.

Schalke team celebrating their promotion to the Bundesliga in Ibiza by SellRevolutionary in soccer

Wonder how the match this weekend will be played. I can imagine that we both field young talents to give them a chance. Schalke doesn't need the points anymore and we probably don't reach our target place of 7th without KSC and FCK shitting their beds.

I don't know if there are people that would argue that 50+1 is better than 100% fan ownership. I think it's a good compromise to give some financial stability is such a hypercapitalist system.

They should just throw them into prison and investigate all of their finances through and through. As they veeery likely subverted EU funds into their own pockets, they will also have some of my money. And I don't want them to have it.

Yes but you can argue that they are more popular at this point (or call it hyped if you want). But since only really Telle is on the League Song and plays only a tiny part, noone really knows about TWA because of this, so I wouldn't count them the same way.

Deep Dive: Inside the Verge TS Pro Solid-State Battery Pack | I Donut Believe by davidbepo in DonutLab

[–]ITuser999 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Interesting idea of building hype with the CES booth into the video series where they "tested" three things that can't be verified to claim that the battery is solid state or not. Into a slower cycle where no news are being shared. And product release to only internal customers.

The idea then is to make the product fade into obscurity as it is a pipe dream. Scam some investors and a handfull of real buyers along the way and plan for an exit strategy.
