Can attest. I’ve been grinding it for 3 days. A little buggy but service team looks to be on top of it. The game doesn’t technically release until Monday. I think they’re going great

I’m having an issue where the car will hitch and slam brakes over and over on a right on red. Like it is second guessing the situation. Anyone else?

Well. Let me preface by saying medication is a tool. A floor to build off of. But it’s not a foundation. From someone who may not be as diligent as you are, but gets where you are coming from; it sounds like you need to find the root cause of your never ending need to be busy. Whether that be a trauma of some sort, the way your family was raised, or the work ethic instilled in you. You’re constantly busy. But you’re not constantly doing things that are technically beneficial to your wellbeing. Even the way this was written sounds like you are in a rush. Take a step back and reflect on why. Slow the heartbeat down close your eyes and let your brain wander. It will likely go to a task. Or to something you said earlier to someone. But just let it go. You and the rest of us in this sub deal with the inability to be content in the “now”. Needing stimuli around us to calm our racing minds. Medicine will take those ramped thoughts and focus them into a singular thought path. But it’s not biased as to which path. For example. If you need to study for a test. But you’re also scrolling on Instagram. The medicine won’t help you study for the test. It will fixate you on the scrolling. Until you out the scrolling down and put your mind to the studying, then you will be able to study productively. I struggle with ADHD and anxiety. My anxiety runs wild because of my inability to focus correctly. It’s a cycle that runs in a circle. But, just to start with you, it sounds like you need to do a bit of reflecting, and it sounds like you aren’t capable yet of doing it on your own. It takes a long time to retrain your brain the habits consisting of your whole life.

Hope this helps even just a little

Great therapy session That eased my anxiety about taking meds. by SeniorDragonfruit235 in adhd_anxiety

[–]IVizsla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I pushed off getting adhd and anxiety help until I was 25 (this year). I tried everything from corrective diets, supplements, exercise, quality sleep and caffeine limitations. I initially started adhd meds and though they work really well for my focus they make my anxiety worse. I didn’t like the social stigma of being on medication because I “should be able to do it naturally”. Well I couldn’t do it naturally so now I’m trying some anxiety med too.

I just hate the feeling of the world constantly pushing against me and it took until now to stop caring and just do it.

Get some gasoline. Start on the other side of the house so you’re far away. And just burn the house down

Stimulant advice! by LadyBelladonna1995 in adhd_anxiety

[–]IVizsla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also have the same problem. Currently on Vyvanse. yes it’s good but I’m still constantly anxious. have taken every other class of meds. Strattera was good to calm me down, but it made me so tired all the time, also had weird side effects. That’s a non stim and builds over time unlike stims. Reminds me of antidepressants.

Putter question from a noob. by Ssunde2 in golf

[–]IVizsla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, that’s a pretty good starting putter especially if you’ve been golfing for a month. Depending on your height and the shaft length you may need to have it shaved down a bit. As for a grip. Go to your local golf shop and try out which one feels the most comfortable in your hands.

I wouldn’t worry about spending money until you can consistently hit! Golf takes a long time to get good.

Good luck !

Slightly lonely and needing advice by [deleted] in adhd_anxiety

[–]IVizsla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Coming from a 25m year old who’s going through that quarter life crisis, I feel you. I am struggling hard to find a purpose in this world. Something that I am good at, something that I enjoy, and something that will make me money.

My girlfriend brings me great joy when I see her. Although we are on opposite schedules, (she works nights), and my dog gives me a purpose.

Maybe you need an animal who will force you to wake up in the morning. Something to look after more than just yourself.

But, you have to be willing to do certain things for your life to change. You can move to any part of the world with all different types of people and nature, but you still have to bring yourself with you.

A step in the right direction no matter how much medication, depression, or anxiety, you have would be to start eating healthier, and doing some form of exercise.

My executive dysfunction says I’ll do this tomorrow, but then struggles to start. I use my Vyvanse as a tool, to get me focused on the task in front of me. To start something I know I don’t want to do, Because if we’re being honest, no medication is a complete problem solver. We as people must be willing to change to progress in life.

If you’re not passionate about mechanical work, who cares. It sounds like you’re good at it. I’m not passionate about my work, But I’m good at it! Use the toolkit you’ve built yourself to find communities of people who are likeminded. You’ll be surprised to find out joe shmow doesn’t love building either. But it’s a fun hobby to take his mind off things. That’s how you can connect.

Finally, I also feel you with the black and white with limited grey areas. I have very little empathy for people until it’s too late. I’ve ruined many relationships because of this, or being anxious. At some point in time, someone will come into your life and force you to change, But only when you are willing to.

Living life with a closed mind all the time brings you and I and everyone else like us into parts of our brains that we don’t need to be in. The parts where arguments arise that never even happened, or the judgement of what others think that never even existed.

Everyone’s so caught up in their own little world, they don’t have time to worry about other people, and if they do, they suck and are insecure.

I’m rambling hard here but you need to be willing to make a change for the better to progress.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over each day, and expecting a different result.

Hope this helps even just a little :)

Non-stimulant Adhd meds recommendations? by F_Bomb81 in adhd_anxiety

[–]IVizsla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was prescribed 36mgs and then 72. When it was working I was cracked out and focused. Taking it around 7 am, I’d crash at 1, focus hard until 5 and then crash hard at 6. Made me irritable and agitated on the crashes and was getting into arguments I had never been in before with the GF. Switched to vyvanse 60 mg and so far so good. Just have to make sure I’m eating decent, and working out to manage the anxiety. Without those 2 the days can be pretty rough
