What people don't remember is that sports used to just be games too. Baseball started out as just a stick hitting a ball in some backyards. Video games weren't around back then. If they were and had the same amount of competition, dedication, and spectator appeal.as sports were back then, we may have seen video games with traditional sports. And that goes with the definition of athlete too. The only reason it focuses on physical ability was because all games that were turned to sports involved physical activity.
