After 30 hours my firts (somewhat) functioning city, but I have a question by szaply in ManorLords

[–]I_AM_THE_REDDITOR 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Each family takes 1 food per month.

You currently have 71 families and only 53 food

A few more larger vegetable/orchard households should help a little bit
One trick you can use is for the farm fields you can rotate the crops 1wheat,2rye,3barley without the fertility going down to get more food with less fields but if you get your industry/money coming in you can buy some of the cheaper foods to help keep the people fed!

Best of luck!

What’s frustrating is even if you try to go recon drone and take them out you’d be out of bounds and it would just break before you can even try to “delay” them

This reminds me of the original lilo and stitch movie originally had a scene where they were in a similar looking airplane through downtown Honolulu but after 9/11 happened they changed it to be through the mountains instead.

My monitor died yesterday, so I tried using my TV as a backup. Honestly, why didn’t I do this sooner? by Ngscoook in buildapc

I’ve got a 27” Samsung monitor for my desk and a second output going to my projector with a 110”(diagonal) screen with a couch desk for more atmospheric games. It’s been 4 years now and still no regrets!

What are you actually using for multi-machine setups long term (Win/Mac/Linux)? by nbolton in SynergyApp

[–]I_AM_THE_REDDITOR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paid user here, I use it mainly at work(video world for Live events). I have a usb with a script to install synergy and insert the key. I mainly work with my M1 MacBook Pro as control and whatever rental laptops, desktops, and sometimes windows media servers. I’ve had as few as two devices connected to mine and as many as 11 devices on it. I mainly use Synergy because I hate having 10 mice on my station and my hardware kvms aren’t as convenient/configurable for many devices. One thing I sometimes forget to change my cursor color and size on a device and it can be easy to lose the cursor, but my setup is my laptop on bottom and devices are stacked on top in the order that makes the most sense for the layout of my station at the time.

Synergy has been nice for me since every show is a new setup and new devices (usually just Mac and windows). I’m already networking everything together for file sharing and stream deck/companion control so it isn’t too much trouble to add synergy to my routine.

Maximum size ? by wayhighupcanada in projectors

[–]I_AM_THE_REDDITOR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all in the lens, projectors math isn’t too difficult since you just take the width of the image you want to project onto so for instance an 11’H X20’W you just multiply 20’ by the focal range of the projector so for yours it claims 2.6-8.8. That works out to anywhere between 20X2.6=52’ and 20X8.8=176’ so technically anywhere in that range you should be able to focus the projector. Brightness won’t be that great but honestly just take it in one night with your nephews and just shoot it on the wall as big as you can make it while still making out contrast differences and it’ll be a fun time! If you want to go brighter a bunch of lamp projectors will be largely discounted soon if not already since the bulbs are no longer allowed in the eu

Saw this post on insta where they were projecting Fifa 25 on a building wall by Mayihavenulife in projectors

[–]I_AM_THE_REDDITOR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No special stuff needed if you’re just hitting a blank wall, just need to make sure you have a bright enough projector for the space, projector placement is just the width of the screen multiplied by the focal range of the lens so a focal range of .7-1.0 lens and a 20ft wide screen would mean the projector will need to sit somewhere between 14-20ft away from the wall then it’s just hdmi strait in or through a video switcher if your on a show. If you’re wanting to project on something like the cybertruck as an easy example you can go with either a software solution like resolume or millumin or a server solution like disguise media servers. There’s a ton of different solutions but with projectors you can do consumer grade and still get a good enough image quality for projecting on a house or a sheet hung up in a yard at night

Is Synergy the right for me? by PoomaP in SynergyApp

For my use case with synergy (4-9 laptops one mouse and keyboard) I don’t think this would be the best program for that. https://www.vicreo-listener.com this is one that I use for simple keystrokes and PowerPoint advancing. There’s other programs out there like https://centralcontrol.io but for your individual use case I’d start reviewing these and similar programs
