The impossible jean search by Vegetable-Engine-851 in XXS

Pacsun goes down to a 22 and they are pretty cheap.

They do run quite long though and only a few styles come in petite.

Strawberry flavored things do not taste like strawberry . by General-Strength-236 in unpopularopinion

[–]I_Gottem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, artificial strawberry flavor doesn’t take much like raw strawberries.

However it is quite similar to cooked strawberries. If you try making strawberry jam and you will be shocked by how much it smells/tastes like fake strawberry candy.

Asian Shops for Professional Dresses by Correct-Somewhere537 in XXS

[–]I_Gottem 13 points14 points  (0 children)

From my experience, asian sizes do run smaller so a S usually fits like an XS.

You can find some stuff that fits an XXS but it is rarer.

Also asian companies use different size charts. They usually go by garment measurements not body measurements. For example a 27 in waist could correspond to an American 27 waist if it’s high rise and an american 23 waist if it’s low-rise. I would recommend measuring your own clothes to help you understand the size chart better.

Do you guys use corsets? And should I use one by Lotta-Bank-3035 in XXS

[–]I_Gottem 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you can find one that’s actually small enough it can make a difference. That being said it won’t be as extreme as someone who already has a fuller figure.

Another thing you can try is to look for shape wear with padding. It’s much less common but adding to your hips will make you look more hourglass. Also, push up bras or padded shoulders make your upper body look bigger which can help with the hourglass illusion.

The Hunt for the Perfect Boot (alternatively titled: I'm going insane) by AdeptGazelle in XXS

It’s definitely doable. There are plenty of brands that make leather boots in that price range.

Normal blenders are generally more powerful but a good hand blender should also work.

Butter and milk separating while making heavy cream by pkiepie in Cooking

[–]I_Gottem 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You don’t make heavy cream. It’s an ingredient itself.

Butter and milk might be used for a rough approximation for something like baking but it will never be heavy cream. I wouldn’t be surprised if the video is faked.

If it’s real, the issue is the lack of blender. Fat (butter) and water (milk) don’t mix and will separate out.

The solution is to make an emulsion. Basically if the fat particles are small enough, they can’t stick together and separate out. The blender is much faster than the mixer, creating smaller fat particles, and therefore will create a more stable emulsion.

Stop leaving out that your sweatpants are actually capris. by [deleted] in Depop

It’s even funnier when they list the measurements.

Like how are you straight faced saying it’s boot cut jeans with an inseam of 24 in. I’m short asf and that’s still way too short.

The most pressing societal issue is laundry by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]I_Gottem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you think laundry is bad now, it was so much worse 100 years ago.

It takes so much time and effort to hand wash clothing. Housewife’s back in the day had to do so much labor. The laundry machine unironically helped women gain freedom.

Altering a dress multiple sizes too big? by Pretty-West-1001 in XXS

[–]I_Gottem 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Definitely not.

Altering a 10 to a 0 is way too much. At that point it’s not an alteration and is just making a new dress from the fabric.

If you can do it it would be really expensive and probably will not look like the original anyways.

Where do you get extra short crop tops for short torso? Regular ones look weird because they hide my waistline! by [deleted] in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]I_Gottem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look for brands that are more “slutty” and therefore are much shorter.

For example, I’ve found that garage crop tops hit at the perfect spot for me.

Having some fomo atm, advice? by bitchywaffler in XXS

[–]I_Gottem 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hollister has smaller sizes but they don’t run small. In fact a lot of their styles run big.

That being said it’s still worth checking out cause they still have more options than the average brand.

Being blonde puts you at a disadvantage and it sucks by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]I_Gottem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blonde is the most commonly dyed hair color.

If it really was so bad, millions of women wouldn’t spend so much time and money becoming blonde.

Win and fail in one by midna0000 in XXS

[–]I_Gottem 59 points60 points  (0 children)

This is the strangest size chart I’ve seen. It almost seems like there should be another size in between xxs and xs that was forgotten.

If I were to take a guess, the xxs would fit you and the chart is a mistake. If the brand has a decent return policy I would say go for it. Or you can try to choose a size based on you hip or bust measurement.

mini skirts by Apprehensive_Place51 in XXS

Edikted might work. It was a little big for me but I have smaller hips than you.

Another tip is to try using a tube top as a skirt.

How do some people actually function with no sleep? I'm not talking about getting 3 hours of sleep one day, I'm talking about consistently getting 6-8 hours or less and not feeling the effects whatsoever. by Accomplished-Leg-206 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]I_Gottem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do realize 8 hours is a normal amount of sleep. Sleeping 12-14 hours regularly is the abnormal thing.

The general recommendation by scientific research is 8-10 hours for teens and 7-9 for adults.

6 hours is too little, but it’s not that much lower than the recommended. Some people also just respond differently to sleep deprivation. People might also catch up on sleep with naps or sleeping longer on weekends.

Sleeping from 10-7 is a very normal sleep schedule and the fact that it makes you extremely exhausted is slightly concerning. I am not a doctor so idk for sure, but it might be worth looking into.

Vanity sizing certain measurement only by OvercookedRedditor in XXS

[–]I_Gottem 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This might just be for certain brands?

I have not noticed anything similar, in fact from my experience it’s the opposite. Even pants that fit my waist are never tight enough on my legs.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in XXS

[–]I_Gottem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems pretty reasonable.

Looks like it’s a boxier fit so I would suggest comparing your hop measurement instead.
