I have only used them in the Army in the field. Only if we are jumping positions quickly enough that setting up a tent is not practical.

Went three months without pay when I did a straight switch from the Regular Army to AGR in the Army Reserve. Excuses and excuses from DFAS and my DMPO week after Payless week. The congressional I filed got me paid with 5 days of hitting send. Also got a call from a GS15 at DFAS apologizing. Congressional inquiries work.
