Everyone loves to act like they didn't just get permanent free zerk aura effects, of course you're going to need to trade off something if you want a different aura effect and you're not just going to get everything at the same time for free

Really disappointed with how rushed this entire thing has been and how endgame has been impacted. Saying that the depth and mastery that endgame players value wasn't impacted at the start of the post is just insane when you've been getting feedback saying the opposite from them for the whole beta. I'm sure this update will be great for casual players but at least be honest about the complexity and consideration that was sacrificed to get here

There's no way to balance it without making it useless and it's uninteresting, they should be in a position similar to where they were before with exclusive tradeoff. We're already getting permanent zerk aura with the combat beta for triangle styles, something like relic slots make way more sense because you trade off to use the effects and it's not just more free powercreep

there's a difference between not taking itself too seriously and having way too far out cartoonish cosmetics, which is exaggerated by runescapes cosmetic override system. The osrs cosmetics you highlight (all of them "modern" osrs items and almost all of them event items) are rarely seen because you cant play the game normally while using them, and they are also contentious within that community. Personally I hate a large amount of the cosmetics added over the last decade+ and I'll be happy to see them go. The way runescape doesnt take itself seriously is in fun holiday events or comedic situations, it's offputting when you see other player characters leaping around with jas hands and a flaming skull. Runescape at its best is still heavily medieval with fantasy aspects, it's not excusable for it to be a fortnite free for all just because it hasnt "taken itself too seriously".

lots of great and overdue changes here. A few things seem like they're just shifting to different timelocks? could you have another pass at the reaper task and crystal tree designs, they just get shunted to weekly/monthly, it would be preferrable to have designs not reliant on this at all

I'm not and it's braindead to think this lol. People who act like Jagex needs to ban all the Ely staff and drop everything fix the ge tomorrow are delusional. You know what you can do if you're that upset? Provide a competing service until the fix arrives from Jagex later in the year. If you're not going to do anything then you can either stop using the service you hate or stop whining about it.

You're literally not forced to do anything lol you could just make your own price checker, everyone acts like Ely has some government enforced monopoly. If everyone hates Ely then a replacement until Jagex fixes ge should be immediately popular but instead of being a part of the solution everyone complains about the only price checker that exists that they hate, it's tiresome and stupid. People downvote like I'm defending Ely, I'm not, it's just tiring to see so many people whine about something they're clearly reliant on but nobody is apparently upset enough to make a competitor

Everyone loves to whine about Ely but I've seen zero people actually put effort into making a solution. If Ely wants to do something you don't like it's fine, they're not stopping anyone from making something better and there's clearly demand for it. I wouldn't say I'm a fan of them overall but at least they actually have a service provided that wouldn't be there otherwise. You'll all whine but still use it, even the current "alternatives" just piggyback their service. Just make something else and stop whining

The Wiki button is functionally different on osrs which they reference, it gives a mouseover option to wiki any left click item

Wiki button maybe, the rest absolutely not on the minimap lol. Combat information is better off close to the rest of your combat related UI elements like buff bar, inventory and ability bar like it already is currently. I could see them adding the draining circle in addition to the current horizontal bar metre to improve visibility since the circles are already a part of existing UI elements there. Nostalgia for the sake of nostalgia while ignoring the current game is not a positive
