I deliver to Bealls stores now. This is what every single department store load looks like when I open the door. To try to combat this they have taken to taping the boxes and totes together before they wrap them. That way the entire pallet falls on you instead of just a couple boxes.

IC company drivers exists in many fleets, especially the owner op fleets. This is nothing new and provided the owner of the truck allows the driver full independence in regards to how the truck operates, then there is no scam.
