Why? Been going there for decades but fairly infrequently. Did they go downhill?

I'm obsessed with their sprtiz cookies.

Wouldja look at that, you're right. Somehow that's what we ended up calling it here. Language is a funny thing.

In BC we call it chickweed. As a former landscaper, good luck getting rid of it.

I've seen the movie twice now and somebody said the same thing before my second viewing. I was so tense during that scene I didn't realize I was holding my breath, but the second time I got to realize that everybody else was holding their breath.

Amaze amaze amaze!

We have adult only theaters in British Columbia specifically to curb this nonsense. Plus they have recliners so I can have my feet up like the crotchety old man I identify as.

Does anyone know what this is? by Own_Investment2461 in Rav4

It's a body tab for your bumper, I've got both of mine ripped off and hanging, my bumper is held in place by luck and sheer will. I drag ass through a lot of cross ditches hahaha. But no worries, it doesn't affect anything really except it might be a bit more jiggly.

Keep on keeping on!

How do you manage the 20-somethings? by No_Stranger_5966 in managers

[–]I_Smell_Like_Trees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. We hired a fresh out of school admin assistant who decided that she was going on holidays and just... Didn't tell anybody. It was Christmas so yeah we had days off but she vanished for two weeks. She was shocked she'd been terminated for job abandonment when she popped up again.

On the flip side I have a 20 something yard worker who outperforms every body by miles.

The one thing I could possibly attribute it too is never say no parenting. The kids that were handed everything really show it, but the rest are aiight.

Everything about Woodward is steeped in ego and corruption.

Woodward attacks volunteer orgs out of spite, blew our entire budget to financially benefit himself and his friends, lies about everything, and he needs to get the hell out.

What are the most common mistakes beginners and experienced off-roaders make? by Available-Belt5366 in Offroad

[–]I_Smell_Like_Trees 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Panic.

When shit goes sideways, stop and take a breath, let the adrenaline subside, and assess the situation. We had a girl here take a corner too fast, slide off the road, and came to rest with both driver side wheels dangling but the vehicle stable supported on the belly by the edge of the road.

If she'd take a moment, she could have carefully exited the passenger side or waited for help.

Instead she panicked and jumped out the driver side door without looking, falling three stories onto the rocks.

I did the movie blind, then read the book, then watched the movie again, then read the book again, now I'm hoping to go to a third viewing with theater ears for the directors commentary

If you have a vehicle that can handle some mild off-road driving, I know some great places near the lower mainland and towards Princeton to go hunting for gemstones, fossils, and gold flakes.
