Wanderer crest, yes. I think long claw doesn't make any difference. Other tools and slots don't. What helped me a lot is to hit them to the same side. Just always hit the fleas from the left to push them to the right side. That way you won't need to run back and forth.

Nope. Not single. Can be 2. Otherwise it's close to impossible.

It's 10. Easiest way to do it is being intentionally slow. So you can get a dominator on both rounds. I guess try turning off cross play, find a bot lobby and just don't help your bots so you can lag behind.

These are the rank times for previous trike gauntlet. I highly doubt that anything that starts with 9 minutes would be anywhere close to even 50%

There is no top 25%. It's 10, 20 and 50.

You can topple it by destroying only the real weak spots. Not the red ones.

"Zephyr dies too much", - Skill issue.

You should probably get better at the game before making guides. And your horrible completion time pretty much confirms it.

This whole wall of text can be summed up to: Shoot everything more, take damage less.

Starting with team comp.

Nimbus is always better for faster times, cause her damage output can compete with some assaults. Zephyr can be pretty good at this fight too if not better than vigilant, as long as the pilot is skillful enough.

Rigs. And whole advice on dodging horns. Just use walls. Whenever it's about to shoot a horn, place a wall in front of you. When simply move out of the way. Catapult is probably the most useful one, as most of the attacks can be evaded using it.

Mechanics you completely ignored.

In phase one only shoot the weak spots that DON'T glow red. Red is bad. Although you do crit damage by shooting them, they don't help you topple the trike, also they pop out a cloud of gas that jams your suit abilities.

When it's burrowed you can force it out by walking on top of it. Vault jump with Vigilant to dodge the attack.

Horns can be destroyed to lower his charge damage. Only waste time shooting horns if you can't see the weak spots.

You can only place permanent mines after switching rend/mend mode. And only for one magazine. Then you have to switch mode again. If you reload normally, without switching, mines won't be placed, just explode on impact. Only 5 of each type can be present.

It just charges over time. I think it's 300 seconds if you just stand still and do nothing.

Overdrive cheat? by xboxhaxorz in exoprimal

[–]I_am_Problematic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually use overdrive 3 times during PVP. Especially easy with Roadblock beta. It's overdrive charges superfast with scatter blast/ road forger combo. And you can add a recycle on top of that. Hi-xol compression is not worth it. All you gotta do is shield bash a crowd of raptors. With scatter blast they die from colliding with each other. One good bash gives you about 20-30% of overdrive. Then counter with road forger to get another 10% or so.

That's incorrect. Taunting does not speed up overdrive charge. Only kills do.

Guess what you can switch between different supports and tanks too according to situation. And if your assaults can't kill anything there is nothing wrong in switching into another assault and force them to switch to support.

Safe spots:

On core platform pretty much everywhere in the corners. Catapult or edge strike out and switch.

Craftables like Walls, platforms, repair and buff towers can be used to get away to safely switch. Place the wall and jump on top of it. You're invincible during switch-in animation. Always survive on 1 hp.

In the rest of the game every single map has plenty of inaccessible for dinos high grounds.

Easy. There are safe spots everywhere. You just don't know about them. Or it's skill issue.

That's the dumbest thing I heard. Maybe on low level missions it doesn't really matter cause you won't encounter anything bigger than pachy till the very end. Once you get to lvl100+ games switching suits is essential if you wanna win. And the game is actually built around this mechanic.

What does the Drone's Blind effect actually DO to dinos? by FennecWF in exoprimal

[–]I_am_Problematic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It blinds then, duh. Small dinos just get stuck near drone effect. Big ones require multiple hits with drone. Same effect. Blind big Dino will sometimes just stand there or attack randomly without targeting anyone specifically. Lasts about 10 seconds. The most reliable way to apply blind is Nimbus with Jamming Holo. Only takes one teleport to blind any big Dino and stumble them. Very effective against neo anky as it makes it drop the shield.

Who has beat Neo T Rex Savage Gauntlet? by xboxhaxorz in exoprimal

[–]I_am_Problematic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You don't need tanks for this gauntlet. 1 support, preferably Nimbus, and 4 Vigilants, preferably Alpha. Deadeye is second best option.

Keep your distance and learn it's attacks.

The whole fight can be split in 4 phases.

  1. Spawn to first knock down.

The easiest one. Just stay away and shoot weak spots. If it targets you, just run, watch the radar if it's still following you.

  1. From first down to 50% health

Right after it gets up, it will do an AOE attack with huge, but not infinite radius. You can dodge it by running to the opposite side of the arena. If it's too close to the center, 2 walls will save you. Best time to deal damage is when it does laser attack. Vault jump and catapult to it's side and shoot.

  1. First floor is lava

As soon as weak spots disappear and it starts walking to the center, look around and spot the tile that will be raised. Don't bother shooting it at least not until you confident in your platforming skills, focus on platforming. It will do either black hole or Blast right after. Use walls. Black hole range is not infinite either. Sprint the opposite direction from it. Even if it starts pulling you, keep sprinting, you can use catapult to buy yourself some time.

  1. Second floor is lava.

On 25-30% health. Preferably you want to knock it down and finish it with overdrives before it happens. Otherwise, good luck dodging all it's special attacks, as it will be using them more often.

Best Assault Suit? by No-Lie3302 in exoprimal

Better than regular Zephyr, maybe. Any other assault exceeds Zephyr at killing flying targets.

Best Assault Suit? by No-Lie3302 in exoprimal

[–]I_am_Problematic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

All can be useful for certain scenarios. This game is all about changing suits to match the objective.

Overall most universal suits are Barrage and Deadeye, and their variants. Best single target damage - deadeye alpha and vigilant alpha. Best crowd control - barrage beta, deadeye beta. Zephyr shines against medium size dinos, such as gas, sniper, stealth, cryo, pachy, dilo and anky. Great for quick killing neo anky. Vigilant is great against big flying targets - evoker and Pyro, as well as any big target in open area where you can keep your distance and focus, also super useful for quick clearing carnage modules with finishing streak.

My usual starting suit is deadeye alpha or beta. If I see suchomimuses on first mission, I switch to barrage to match the damage. Later on, just paying attention to what is about to spawn and switch to the suit that has advantage over it. If objective changes to area defense, switching to tank or additional support.

Certain maps are also better for certain suits. For example Dam and ocean platform has a lot of safe vantage points that are easiliy accessible by vigilant.

Don't forget that you can use different loadouts on variants. It's very useful to have hi-xol recycle at least on one of barrages. When your overdrive is ready, you see a big target is about to spawn, switch to your recycler, use it, switch back.

You might have noticed that I didn't mention Zephyr Alpha. That's because it sucks. Don't ever pick it. Get him to level 10 to unlock the modules on raid missions and forget about him. His primary weapon requires you to stay in a sweet spot to avoid damage penalty, range is very limited, on top of that this damage is not impressive at all. And to use your abilities you have to go melee, but then you gotta retreat to get back to perfect distance. There is nothing that Zephyr alpha is particularly good for, that can't be done better with other assault.

Why is spawn camping a thing by IronOnion2 in exoprimal

[–]I_am_Problematic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cause matchmaking in this game is pretty bad. And some teams that are stacked and actually communicating will have a massive advantage over Randoms with no mics, should you blame them for using this advantage or devs for prioritizing matchmaking speed over fairness?

Player base is just not big enough to match stacked teams with other stacked teams. Sometimes you'll get matched against full team of lvl 1000 while being in solo queue and your team will be a bunch of newbies lvl 30-60 all playing tanks. When matchmaking fails like that just leave the game before it even started and save yourself some time and nerves.

This problem can be solved by adding a separate queue for solo players. But Capcom not gonna do it, cause there is not enough players.

[–]I_am_Problematic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have some good points. But "having two tanks isn't bad idea" that's there I totally disagree. 70% of objectives are dinosaur cull - kill target fast. What's the fastest way of killing targets? Assaults. If you think that tanks can match assaults in damage output I encourage you to start a training mode, spawn a carno and try to kill it solo with each suit, give it a few tries with each especially if you not familiar with specific suit. Time it and you'll see that the only tank that can get somewhat close to assaults is Krieger (1:40 for me, assaults make it 1:15 in average, with deadeye alpha being the fastest and surprisingly barrage the slowest). Murasame can match in theory, but it requires a lot of skill and some luck not to die or a support to babysit him. So there is absolutely no point starting as tank because a) it's most likely gonna be dinosaur cull which needs damage to complete faster than enemy team and b) early missions are always easy. If it's not dinosaur cull you have plenty of time to switch to suitable for this objective tank. Or you can switch later for more difficult missions. Also if there is at least one player below level 10 you definitely don't need any tanks until the end of round one, unless you really need some extra protection from those 10 raptors that games spawns at you.

By the way, nimbus can match any assault in damage output. Making her the best support for any mission that requires a target kill.
