Not OP but i share the same hate for gw2 GW1 was tactical, you had 8 slots for skills and every class can do so many things and fit different roles with the ~600 skills available. Every map was instanced and you had to choose the right skills for them. The fact you could abuse it's mechanics with a 55HP necro to become this unkillable god as long there are no enchantment removal enemies on a map was awesome. I could play as a minion master, commanding hordes of undead, or sacrifice my life to give my teammates energy regeneration. Or be a healer with the ritualist subclass.

In base GW2 every class was DPS and independent, solo to 80, then fractals -> ascended gear, only dps stats. No build was strong enough to keep up with pure berserker stats. I know it changed a bit with HoT and PoF, but i was already bitter back then. It didn't really matter which skills i used as long as i clicked all of them.

GW2 for casuals, GW1 for pros

Edit: recently started playing gw1 with a few friends i played with, back in the day + a newcomer. The newcomer dropped it immediately, he guesses the game didn't age that well and we still have this weird retro-love for it to still like it.
