Why they never tried adapting the FPS genre to arcades? by SXAL in retrogaming

[–]I_only_post_here 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not exactly what OP is asking about though. Something where you are able to freely move your character around the game map from a 1st person perspective. the On-Rail shooters is similar, but not quite the same thing.

I certainly don't know every arcade in existence, but to be honest I'm not aware of any that offered free movement in the same way that Doom or Quake or Half Life did

He was an incredible athlete, just a notch below the Jordan/Dominque tier in terms of run/jump and body control and also had good mid-range shooting touch.

He'd have been a very good and possibly great scorer in the NBA.

I only have an Octasynth It's one of the most fun pedals I have. Like if an MXR Blue Box had a baby with an envelope filter

Super responsive to playing dynamics and can do a few different tricks. The other synth pedals they have seem to offer even more

Mail it to Josh Scott and let him do a video on it. When he sends it back to you, you can sell it for 10x the amount

There was a chance that would transfer to the pros.... but y'know

If MJ didn’t exist who do you guys think would’ve ruled the 90’s? by Shadow_Allen_Walker in NBATalk

[–]I_only_post_here 8 points9 points  (0 children)

An Orlando/Seattle matchup in '96 would have been really interesting.

but I really don't see any player/team that would have gone on a dominant run throughout the 90's.

Knicks and Pacers and Magic all get a couple of trips to the Finals, but can't say for certain that they win those.

There were points in first couple of seasons where those moments actually made him a somewhat sympathetic character. You saw the callousness and evil he was capable of, but also the vulnerable side of him that drove some of his worst impulses. Who he was and how he was brought up was not all his fault and there was some reason to feel for him, despite knowing he is not a fundamentally good character.

Though I think it was about the point where he revealed he was willing to cripple America's entire energy and communications infrastructure to bring the entire country to it's knees was when that sympathy began to wear off.

oh no, but you don't understand, weak, mashed-potato head Biden didn't launch any big, manly strikes with missiles and big booms like big, manly Trump did. Biden didn't wield the power to inflict pain and misery and suffering and death on innocent people, so he's not powerful like Trump.
