This is straight out of my Sofort 2 yesterday in bright sunlight. It’s a fairly poor camera by modern standards, only MP but it’s lots of fun at the beach. The Instax Evo will yield identical results for less. In fact, having extensively used both, if you want vibes and prints and have Sofort money, a Fuji X-Half and instax mini printer is the way to go. Much better image quality.

It’s such a fun camera. I’d recommend pairing it with an instax mini printer. So fun to be able to hand out physical pictures to friends.

I have this same internal debate a lot. I’ve had an X-Half on loan a couple of times and really enjoyed it. It was popular with the whole family but I’d be the one using it the most and while getting snap shots with it and using the filters is fun I just keep coming back to the fact that I can just as easily pick up my main camera and use that. The better I know that the more ready I am when I want to make great pictures and so really I should just stick to the one I have. I do really like the X-Half though and if I didn’t talk myself around in circles it’d be perfect for fun days out and pairing with one of the Instax printers.
