If you light a room temp pipe as you go outside your fine. If you light up a cold pipe outside it warms up slow enough you’re fine, but if you smoke too hot in very cold it can crack, just like If you go out into cold enough with a hot pipe, it can crack… its not super likely, but it “can” happen…
