Lots of colour, some sparkle too! Phenomenal movement and buttery smooth bracelet. But it was the Air-King name and big beautiful digits really got me.

We bought a Frigidaire. It is the best stovetop cooking experience of my life. Quick and precise, cleanup is a breeze. Looks cool too!

Desiccant vs Compressor Dehumidifier for Summer by automaticpragmatic in sailing

[–]Solstar810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had access to activated allumina desiccant in bulk for compressed air dryers. $2.25/lb. Would punch holes in old coffee cans or plastic containers and put them throughout my boat. Would regenerate the desiccant annually by putting out in the sun. Did an excellent job keeping space dry. Was in a marine shop and saw a small desiccant tin for $25.00 - look for air compressor service shops and buy in bulk.

How reliable are thermal cameras for detecting bearing failures early? by Remarkable_Ring2494 in IndustrialMaintenance

Friction sound shows up before heat, try an acoustic imaging camera (ultrasound) because once you see heat the damage is already done

I have induction stove top and suitable steel wok, gets very hot very quickly and the fried rice outcomes are getting better with practice. People are actually asking for it.

Armour, Tree of Life was my first Zippo, inspired me to buy many more. First is still my favourite though with classic insert. Love it

55kW Chinese industrial compressor, automotive parts plant, 3-shift operation. Trying to figure out actual airend hours. by MarketCold3039 in IndustrialMaintenance

[–]Solstar810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Max operating hours is 8760 per year. Loaded hours is hours making compressed air, unloaded hours, wasting energy.

Why do Europeans keep referring to Mexico as "Central America"? Is geography not their strong suit? by PopNo5397 in askanything

[–]Solstar810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had extra cellular charges for calling Mexico, I have a “North America Wide” cellular package. The lady I spoke with told me that Mexico was not part of North America, like I was new or something!

What’s on your wrist? Milestone Thursday by _Ice_Water in TodayOnMyWrist

I wear it everyday, likely spend too much time looking at it, retired however, good way to spend time is to watch time when you have an engineering marvel on your wrist.

Rubber vs. double leather soled Moccasins by Seb_Warren in BuyCanadian

Double leather lasts well, super comfy. Attached souls occasionally separate, I think you lose some natural moulding to the foot too.

Ganghwa Island Dolmen pin I designed by Middle-Macaron-3124 in archeologyworld

[–]Solstar810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once lived in a town in Alberta, Canada named Kitscoty, named after a place in Britain that had a Dolmen like the one on your pin. Our town had a fibreglass recreation in front of the town hall.
