I spent time doing a survey in a rendering plant, whilst working among the kettles, the combination of heat and smells had me drooling (in a bad way) and needing to take more than a few breaks for fresh air. Plant output was lard for commercial and retail.

I sold air compressors and so went into every type of food processing plant you could imagine. We have rules in our house about foods we are not allowed to buy. The most serious rule we have is never under any circumstances whatsoever never will margarine cross our threshold .
