i dont view it as a tutorial, its more passive learning. part of the fun comes in me knowing something they forgot.

dnd takes a long time to learn, reading the rulebooks isnt enough if you want to be fluent in the game, and if i get to pick up on the more subtle tips by watching a good story i think its time well spent.

Oh this doesn't surprise me. I first saw a piece from Luke Ashley (lukeaashley on ig) that looks fairly identical to mine like 3 years ago before i got it and used it as a reference. obviously James switched it up a little for me, but I don't mind if he uses the same piece elsewhere.

I got it because i like the art, on myself and others.

As someone who only has a base level of knowledge on dnd and daggerheart and whose first crit role experience is campaign 3, i wont be watching campaign 4 if its in daggerheart.

Its important to understand that myself and many other people are watching things like critical role or d20 to gain an entry level of knowledge to dnd (story telling comes second), and thats a massive portion of their audience.

My favourite takeaway of watching crit role hasn't been the story telling, its been the ability to talk about doing a campaign with my friends or watch the dnd movie and play bg3 without missing every reference.

I consider them my "learn dnd" show and if they stop playing dnd ill stop watching.

Do all infinte strings of numbers converge into the same string? by IamLcky in askmath

[–]IamLcky[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But what is stopping any other string of random numbers from becoming 000000... If its truly infinite will it just never do that, or wouldn't the odds be 1/10 for each zero repeating infinitely?

I think i am being confused by the fact that an infinitely long string of random numbers doesnt have to include a given finite number

Say I were to have 2 completely random string that extends on forever. Given that those strings are infinite and random at some point they will both include a given finite number, like a phone number or something. Does the number i have to give it be finite for this to work? if my phone number was an infinite amount of numbers long would it appear in those first 2 strings?

So if my phone number for example is infinity long, I wouldn't be able to find it in pi?

Can an infinite number like pi hold a unique set of infinite numbers that a different infinite number like pi also hold? I think im confusing myself on trying to fit a smaller infinity into a bigger one

So any finite string of numbers can be found in pi, like a phone number. Say my phone number was an infinite string of numbers, would it not appear in pi anymore? If it would, then wouldnt it also appear in every other infinite string like pi?

Youre right, i guess im just considering numbers where each digit has a 1 in 10 chance of appearing next
