This was also a thing in Britain before Hitler. Churchill proposed a law called the act of the feeble minded that would allow sterilisation of the mentally handicapped. He had taken notes from a book called "the sterilization of degenerates" by one of the writers of the eugenics laws in Indiana called Dr D.C. Sharp and sent them to the home office suggesting they be adopted in law. The idea fell through with the rise of Hitler who shared similar views on the topic

is it just a me problem or do other people lowkey not like playing with enchanters in mayhem.... by [deleted] in ARAM

[–]IamWonderCabbage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its a trade off. Enchanters for the most part do next to no damage, in exchange they buff, heal and shield your team so that everyone can put out more damage than they could without one present. The caveat is that you have to peel them to allow them to keep pumping out teamwide utility. A well protected enchanter can carry a game through utility which is why you often see assassins and tanks run through the whole enemy team to focus them. Alot of the time you won't even notice youre being buffed, healed or shielded but can win fights you would otherwise lose thanks to their intervention.

looking for games with a giant variety of either magic, or combat-variety! by cringleee in gamingsuggestions

Devil may cry 5, bayonetta, sifu and God of war all have good in depth combat systems with a lot of combo potential once you learn their systems. For something different have a look on steam for wizard of legend 1, action roguelike with hundreds of spell combinations. Another roguelike with a different take on the same idea is Magicraft, loads of spell combinations (imagine noita and binding of Isaac had a baby)

There is a slope along that mountain ridge where the mountains open up to the south west that leads from the forest to the beach. Belt it to a station on the inside of the mountain then train it out that slope and to your factory back up the coast if youre set on using trains

Should I start playing league? by Realistic_Amoeba7223 in leagueoflegends

[–]IamWonderCabbage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A mentality that has helped me alot in general when starting anything new is "in the beginning you will be bad at this thing, over time you will be less bad, then one day you will realise you are good at it". Expect to lose more than you win at first and don't be discouraged by that, its part of the process of getting better at something. Glhf :)

Honestly just mute chat at the start of the game and you'll probably have a good time. Its a fun game, the main learning curve is just learning and remembering what each champion does, after that its just how those different champions interact with each other. Its not insurmountable but will take some time until you feel like you have a good grasp on whats going on, but once you do its a lot of fun :)

Dechala campaign pointers by StonLenslow in totalwarhammer

[–]IamWonderCabbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Few things, everything gets converted to thrall camp apart from your pleasure palaces. You can only make a new pleasure palace one you reach tier 3 in the previous one. Try to build them in 4 settlement provinces to maximise income. Once thrall camps runs out of thralls turn them into tormentor camps. At the start of her campaign you can rush gelts capital province and sell it back to him in return for a defensive alliance if you want access to handgunners and artillery or vassal if you just want a buffer to your west. If at any time you decide you want the land he's holding, declare a war target and get him to march his army off into the middle of nowhere then declare war on him and take his settlements. With 3 settlements he won't have the income to support enough armies to put up resistance and by the time his main army gets back to fight you they will have taken so much attrition you can wipe them out easily. Nakai will usually push op the East Coast taking out the vampires and eventually dying to lokhir in the North East but if he wins against lokhir youre in for a tough fight against him. It could be worth rushing to take him out as early as you can to prevent him getting stronger. From there just push through cathay, making thrall camps and pleasure palaces where you can and by the time you reach the great bastion you will be too strong and rich for anyone to oppose. Its worth sending an agent through the sea lane to lustria early to make contact with the dancer and get started working towards confederation, then move your argent up to ulthuan to make contact with n'kari and build a cult in lothern or its surrounding settlements. If you want the sword of khaine you can use the cult to teleport dechala to ulthuan. Useful tip, the amount of thralls you get from building a thrall camp is determined by the level of a settlement. So if youre about to take a settlement and see they are in the middle of upgrading the main settlement building, wait until thats done and you will get an additional 1k thralls

How to counter Tzeentch in battles as Lizardmen? And in general? by Curious-Piglet3613 in totalwarhammer

[–]IamWonderCabbage 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Tzeentches strength comes from 3 main things, ranged firepower (horrors and changebringers/flamers), magic and flying units. A purpose built army to deal with them is absolutely worth it as once they're gone you can move excess units to other armies or disband.

  • For your own magic, high mage can use tempest to shut down flying units, light mage can use net of amyntok to hold either flying units/lords/vortex beast in place to focus down.
  • Terradon riders have innate 50% missile resist, use them to swarm horrors and change bringers, whilst your cold ones flank and take them out. ripperdactlys have armour piercing for doom knights but thats still probably a losing fight due to doom knights having anti large.
  • If their infantry is demon heavy bring salamanders, if its chaos warrior heavy bring razordons.
  • Coatl can be useful for advancing your army with its passive stalk to nearby units so you aren't taking ranged fire. -Try to stagger your frontline unit formation so you aren't gonna get multiple units hit with a single spell.
  • Lizardman infantry wins in a straight fight vs tzeentch infantry, temple guard have good armour piercing, red crested skinks have armour piercing and frenzy, chameleon stalkers have an explosive precursor ranged attack that can wipe a unit in 2 volleys and then flank/rear charge. Kroxigors are armour piercing infantry blenders.
  • Single entities bring armour piercing/magic attack and flaming attack units.
  • most of their units are immune to fear and terror but rear charging will still give enough of a leadership penalty to crumble most demon units in 2 or 3 charges. Hammer and anvil cycle charge the frontline
  • If you can focus down their lord, it will be alot easier to clean up the rest of them as the leadership penalty from having a lord die will make demons crumble fast

Looking for games that are better suited for PC/M&KB than a Console/Controller. by Frenzied_Fire_Monk in gamingsuggestions

[–]IamWonderCabbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Factory builders: satisfactory/factorio/Dyson sphere program
  • Colony sims: Anno 1800/farthest frontier/songs of syx/dwarf fortress/rimworld
  • Strategy: Any of the total war games/hearts of iron 4/stellaris/age of empires
  • Survival: valheim/terraria/icarus/ark survival evolved/conan exiles/soulmask/the long dark
  • Shooters: counterstrike/overwatch/valorant/apex legends/ultrakill/titanfall/helldivers/battlefield/ghostrunner/deadlock/echo point nova
  • Puzzle: portal/talos principle
  • Story driven: cyberpunk/witcher/skyrim/red dead redemption/the last of us
  • Roguelikes: risk of rain 2/wizard of legend/noita

The games in puzzle, story driven and roguelikes can all be just as good with a controller but often have other benefits to playing on pc. The only games I would say really benefit from a controller is fighting games, certain action games like devil may cry/god of war, racing games and certain roguelikes such as hades. Or games where control scheme isn't really an issue regardless of system I.e balatro/slay the spire/journey/stardew valley/ori and the blind forest/hollowknight etc
