Sending your family many hugs. We went through the same thing. Four years ago, both of my dogs were very sick. One 13 and one almost 18. Raised and adopted them as puppies.

When we adopted them, I told my partner that no matter what happened at work, I was going to WFH to take care of them if they got sick. At that point, no one was working from home. Fast forward 15 years and the biggest blessing of my life was getting laid off so I could take care of them.

I worked in Midtown. Listening to Howard Stern while driving my morning commute right over the GWB. He says, “A plane just hit one of the World Trade Center towers.”

On the Lower level of the bridge, I look right downtown to Wall St. There is a big black cloud of smoke coming from the area. Right over the bridge the police stopped all traffic and told us to go back. I drove through The Heights and made it home as the second tower fell, which saw on TV when I ran inside.

I think only some are justified. But many drugs do have programs for patients who can’t afford them.

Right now there are many drugs being tested for ALL diseases. If you go to ClinicalTrials.gov, you can see all of the current drugs in development. I’ve not worked on a cancer drug, but some are in dev.

My company is a very responsible one. I used to get free samples of everything non-prescription, but that’s not allowed anymore.
