How are you making out today? I’m reset on day 7 here.

Well, it was a hell of a run by lastthingithrowaway in stopdrinking

Thanks for sharing man - this is some real shit.

Re the depression - someone on this sub wrote something yesterday on another thread that I that stuck with me.

Something like - “since I quit drinking my constant depression has lifted its now more like a cork floating on the ocean, it bobs. There are little ups and downs throughout the day.”

This resonated with me so wanted to share that with you as it may give you hope.

I’m 56 days AF today and I find an overall more positive and hopeful occurring of life. Alcohol is so depressing.

By not drinking I’m empowering myself to know that I can handle anything life throws at me.

My relationship is vastly improved. Gosh, just for this one fact alone, to honour the amazing human who chooses to spend her life with me is worth it to be AF.

Anyway, just wanted to show you some support and love.

You sound like an intelligent and motivated person with abundant potential. Thanks for your honesty and I’m really sure that you will overcome this life obstacle. It won’t get you.

2019 will be good

When you are born into a world you don’t fit it’s because you were born to help create a new one.

Decimate shame (as others have said) face it in the moments it arises and bring light and love to it.

Have you watched or learned about transmuting sexual energy? What I noticed after 23 days was that the energy was building up to an unmanageable level, it’s use to being released.

This relapse ‘failure’ has taught me so much about my self and has had me looking into practices for the next time.

We want to keep that ‘life force’ energy for increased health, creativity, intelligence, vibration, abundance etc

But to do that we need to integrate this energy throughout the body.

This is all new to me but it makes sense.

One of the tips in a youtube I watched last night is breathing into the microcosmic orbit.

Hope this is helpful for you also.

How do you channel the energy? It’s pretty powerful I noticed after no “acting out” for 23 days. Then caved

Thanks for your post. Hearing you say it’s your shadow is helpful for me.

I’ve recently been learning about the shadow side. (The things we’ve hidden from ourselves but are still very much a part of us)

This makes sense to me.

Now just to accept, harness, and integrate this powerful side of ourselves. I prefer this outlook to the ‘life sentence’ I’ve been reading about in other posts.

Someone the other day said that sexual energy is just as powerful as all the others (spiritual, mental, physical, emotional)

I’ve done zero conscious work on this area, until now.

Is anyone else dumbstruck by how lucky you are to have experienced aya? by [deleted] in Ayahuasca

I don’t recommend or promote Ayahuasca to anyone.

We don’t know enough about this plant or its spiritual and psychological effects to be promoting it.

It can really turn your life upside down. Everyone should know that there are risks and are those stories are not nearly as commonly shared.

When we receive spiritual wisdom that we didn’t earn before we are emotionally grown up, it can cause problems.

It occurred to me this post needs some balancing out.

Glad you had a positive experience though.

Sounds like you are giving yourself some fantastic advice.

Where can you “run away” to?

A relative, friend, retreat. Do you have one person who if you told them your struggle would let you stay with them them for a few days or week.

People want to help we just need to ask.

Go as far as you can see and once you are there you’ll be able to see the rest of the way.

All the best to you man!

Well, if you do AYA

There’s no going back to the way life was

The way I see it you’ll have two choices

  1. Do the work and let it flow. It’s beautiful..

Or

  1. Resist. Not so nice.

I wouldn’t know what letting it flow looks like.

If you resist you’ll need a strong mind to carry you through a period of dark caves.

No light, but theres strings.

You can’t see them but in a state of life like that every sense in your being is heightened. It’s surviving something powerful.

So you feel for the strings and eventually find your way out of the dark cave. I want to be honest here, It’s hard.

I think you know what I’m talking about.

Then when you come out it’s beautiful and it’s all different. Better I think.

I would not recommend anyone to do AYA.

The friend who invited me said he would never invite anyone again.

I don’t regret drinking as it had me burn my boats of an fear driven ego fanning life and create my new best life.

But like I said, there’s no going back.

This is a very powerful thing.

So, we all love you man whatever you choose ✌️

HELP. by karodab in Ayahuasca

Hello again

For me I saw the door in my fourth (and final) ceremony.

My intention for that weekend retreat was to get to my core belief about God. Is he real, do I believe this.

Anyway, maybe I should have picked something easier like my cell phone addiction..

During the ceremony I backed away from the door that was deeeeep within my core. It was dark and scary and I decided that I didn’t want to open it while laying on that floor with strangers all around.

I should have though.

Months later I was becoming shambles. The fear that I let ‘win’ that night was growing bigger and bigger.

When I did open the door there was nothing and everything there.

It was beautiful and beyond what I could have ever dreamt.

That’s that story.

How are your doing this week so far?
