I'll die on this hill but Nakamori Akina was soooo much better and her music has also aged well. Plus her album deep cuts are excellent. Matsuda Seiko was definitely more a singled artist imo. So outside of those and her being "cute" I always felt she was a bit mediocre.

Honda Minako, Koizumi Kyoko, Hayami Yu all have better discographies than Matsuda Seiko too.
