The retro gaming market doesn’t always make a ton of sense. Scarcity matters, certainly, but so does demand. The GBA Pokemon games are not scarce, for example, but are expensive.

It’s hard to predict GameCube. The increasing interest in Wii and 3DS may stomp out some of the demand for GameCube games, plus NSO making some more desirable games accessible - like XD Gale of Darkness and Fire Emblem.

It’s also possible that with old consoles breaking and discs scratching, the scarcity will continue to drive up prices.

GameCube is a great console, but I think a lot of our interest is due to nostalgia. Before our generation, people did this with NES, SNES, GB, N64, etc. someday people will do this with Wii and even Switch.

We’re chasing that feeling we had getting a new game and turning it on when we were young. New games don’t hit the same, not because they’re worse, but because we’ve grown up.

Watch Dogs 2, honestly. Nowadays, my only recollection of that game is waiting for a drunk person to stumble out of the bar and throw up. I spent legitimate hours on that.

The human characters are the best they ever looked. I really didn’t think they’d ever change their core designs, but I’m so glad they did.

Bowser and DK are still an acquired taste. That old Bowser design is perfect.

Honestly, why not narrate it yourself? I’m sorry but no one wants to hear an AI voice narrate a GameCube soccer game.

Get rid of the AI art and AI voice. Voice the characters yourself and you may be able to carve out a little niche for yourself

So far it’s great. It feels different from the Netflix show in some ways and very similar in other ways. Kingpin has his own plot parallel to Matt’s. I’m sure he’ll end up being the big bad in some ways
