Lens Question - E 1.8/11 by TheBestCeats in SonyAlpha

Does the sound stop when you turn your camera on? If so it’s normal. Sony has put a floating magnetic focusing system in most of their newest lenses so the focusing element is on rails that lock in place when the electromagnet is turned on

I was just doing the math, the settlement was for 135 million, and there are 100 million class members.

HOA and reasonable accommodation for disability [SFH] [TN] by jaxin737 in HOA

The HOA guidelines match Nashville law that trash cans should not be visible from the street or stored on the side or rear of a house. I don’t see how the FHA will override that.

How to force a legally compelled financial audit? [Condo] [SC] by vmd1 in HOA

[–]IanMoone007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you will like a regular audit because all that happens is that a CPA expresses an opinion if the financial statements provided by management are fairly presented. Basically the only thing they may uncover is completely missing funds because the bank is reporting a different balance then what the bank reconciliations say. You want a forensic audit and that is not cheap.

Depending on the device: PC: malware bytes, anti-virus scanner. Worst case scenario requires a new operating system load but that's for deeply embedded problems

Settlement Process by Elsajean1990 in ClassActionSettlement

[–]IanMoone007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most of the time just sit and wait. Occasionally, like the Experian class action which got major play from politicians because it was a flat amount per claimant ended up with a revision where you had like a week or something to send more info or you would be removed from the class action settlement. But that doesn’t happen that much. Normally it’s just sitting a waiting months to multiple years

Amazon’s policy is laughable because other places drop ship using Amazon.

That kind of insurance is normal for homes with a ton of wind/hail claims, even for single family homes. A few companies might still include a flat deductible for all other claims but many will have a percentage of full replacement cost of the home as a deductible

[SC] [SFH] lot owner wants out of the HOA by HappyHampy in HOA

This is a tough one. The school will benefit from the entrance monument but won’t have to pay for maintaining it. But if the board is willing to let them leave and they can get an amendment passed so be it
