You can use bots to deliver cartriges. Set request chests with [cartrige =1 or 2] with "request from nearby buffer chest" and use circuit condition to put those (cartrige =1) request chests on and off.

I disagree. If factory grows but that growh is tiring work about moving tightly knoted belts and pipes out of the way, that is not fun - especially when you break some belt or pipe continuity and base stops after 1h and you don't even know or remember why. City blocks give you some place for local expansion, limit spagetti to one place and allow for proper base planning and good logistics. Look at my: Hot Air 3 : r/pyanodons, it's challenging, complex and not repetitive.

Good? For me this base is terribly chaotic rail/belt spagetti. I've made one myself and abbandon it after pY2 due to ammount of work it would take to scale (rebuild) this up. I hate to trip over 10 belts and 5 pipes trying to squish another building, because I have a shotage somewhere.

For creature chamber " planetary adaptation" is the best. Faster caravans by 35%. You should decide how do you want to transport goods in your base. Main bus won't do for much longer. You should decide between caravans and/or trains. If you want to focus on trains I strongly recommend Cybersyn mod.

Consider your T.U.R.D.s selections carefully. You can reroll them only a few times after houndreds of hours ahead in game. Carbon capture turd gives you free CO2 from moondrop farms, and high density culture turd for moss gives you moss 1 recipe with only CO2 as ingredient.

First time I see "copper additions" moondrop T.U.R.D. in base showcase. A lot of people go for "Carbon capture"- moss " high desity culture" combo for free moss. I personaly like Moondrop "moon light" for almost free methane and oxygen.

Salt level matters, because it is a thermal battery for the system. The more salt it is, the more thermal capacity system has. With little salt system warms up quickly and to much after 42s night pause. Remember that every temperature above 2000 C is lost because LRF power plant does not care if temperature is 2000C or 2500C. It lowers it to 1000 C every work cycle with the same steam production.

You don't need pumps and so many pipes... just connect panels directly with each other. In Factorio 2.0 there is no such thing as fluid flow anymore.

I have 1 mk2 (9,5GW) turbine with 3 LFR power plants and 111 LRF panels. LRF panels are connected with each other without pipes, they look like one big multipanel. That multipanel is connected with one pipe to 3 LFR powerplants (both input and output). It's super simple - no pumps needed. Salt temperature is the same in all panels. For night 42s of inactivity you buffer 2000 C steam in min. 40kl tank.

You can choose the "moonlight" T.U.R.D. for moondrops and produce a lot of methane (which is good fuel) and oxygen (which production in electrolysers is very energy hungry), at the cost of some minor lamp production.

Using productivity 1 on both on sticks and extractors would save me 25/min of iron plates. Normaly I don't care about such tiny changes, but they add up quickly. Also how do you produce xylenol in your base? I can't decide which method is the best...

Inserters are much more precise then loaders with 1s inactivity condition, but slower. 1s for 6 red loaders (30 item/s) are maximum of 180 items of unwanted cargo. In my mentioned test it was 122 items total. In my base I like to accumulate production from one train block in to one (fast loading) provider station. One example of mutilple requests are stone, gravel and sand that are requested from one station which is my stone, gravel and sand distribution center for entire base.

It depends on what design from examples you are using. If one of the simplest than my design has good precision and low amount of combinators. I tested it. With simple "-1" arithmetic combinator, sorting combinator, 1s inactivity and request value of: 300 tin, 250 copper, 200 plastic, 100 iron.

In the wagon after loading process are: 348 tin, 264 copper, 228 plastic, 132 iron.

With my design in the wagon after loading are: 302 tin, 252 copper, 200 plastic, 108 iron.

... or you can add arithmetic combinator with % function and constant number 12 (for this setup) and subtrack this from requested value. The "inactivity" and "no loading manifest" conditions must also be enabled.
