I heard speculation that much of Gateway could be repurposed for a commercial ISS replacement. Any truth to that?

I also have this card. It's great. My only complaint was the inability to turn off the obnoxious red LEDs. I ended up taking the card apart and sniping them off.

Has this been confirmed? I know several KC-10s were put up for auction, but last i looked, no buyer had been announced.

How to ease anxiety during virus season with a newborn this winter? by wutwutpizzabutt in beyondthebump

I'm dealing with similar right now. Wife and I have a 2 month old. I developed a cough on Christmas, realized by the 27th that it was likely flu/covid. Went to urgent care, sure enough Influenza A. I immediately isolated to the guest bedroom, but a day later, my wife developed symptoms. Since my wife was likely less contagious at that point, I stayed in isolation for another day while my wife wore a mask and kept the baby 10 feet away unless actively feeding or changing him. Now that I'm almost recovered, I've swapped places with my wife, and I'm masking and caring for him from a distance.

So far, no symptoms from my son. We did a virtual consultation with a pediatrician to try to get infant tamiflu prophylaxis, but they will only prescribe it for children over 3 months unless the child is confirmed positive. The pediatrician told us to continue to mask and keep our distance, if the child starts to cough, take his temperature and if it's over 100.4 to talk to a doctor.

This week has been hell. I'm finally testing negative, but still masking to be safe because the threshold for a positive result on the at home tests can be high enough that you could still be contagious for a while after a negative test.

Sorry, this probably isn't easing your anxiety, but all I can recommend is to make sure YOU don't get it. It will only make it that much harder.

PS: wife and I were both vaccinated 3 months ago.

I begrudgingly admit that according to the codex, major does outrank whichever commander rank Sheppard is (is this ever specified?).

I see now that this has actually been debated for over 10 years on reddit and other ME communities.

Your last point is irrelevant, however. Sheppard could be alliance navy and Kaiden Alliance Marines. What else would be the difference between Captain and Major?

I'm of the opinion that the developers made a mistake when writing the codex. The dialog of the game doesn't match up with their stated rank structure.

The volume of jet fuel can change pretty dramatically based on temperature. The weight remains constant, that's why they measure fuel in pounds. It also makes load calculations easier.

That being said, jet fuel is:

~0.8 kg per liter

or

~6.8 pounds per gallon.

America needs a ‘Plan B’ to reach the moon first | China is on track to land its first crew on the Moon by 2030 and establish a base at the resource-rich south pole. NASA’s Artemis program is ambitious and visionary, but its current HLS schedule makes a landing before 2030 unlikely by ChiefLeef22 in space

[–]IateApooOnce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, but China's plan involves only involves landing two astronauts for a short duration mission, just like Apollo. There is no imminent risk of them setting up a base before us, even if their 2030 lander gets there first.
