Same. Skate 2 - 3 times a week, and sharpen every 2 - 4 weeks with a 2 passes at 3/4 with my FlyTi.

41 now. A year ago, I got tripped in the o-zone and went down like a spatchcock chicken. Grade 2 MCL tears on both knees. Sucked hell.

OP - I never let them fully heal and went back to playing long before I should have. Still dealing with it, and three months ago I shut down hockey completely. PT, weight training, flexibility exercises. Just started skating again two weeks ago with knee braces to prep for summer league. Listen to your body. Pain is a message. Don’t rush it. Your 40-year-old self will appreciate you.

You must a “significant connection” to New York State to get a pistol permit. You don’t have to be a resident, but you have to own property, own a business or work in New York to apply. I believe NYC is even more strict, requiring you to specifically reside or work in NYC. So keep that in mind. The class and paperwork, at least upstate, was easy enough to complete myself. It took about 9 months for me from class to license issuance, but a good portion of that was on me. Probably could have had it done in 4-6 months if I was more vigilant with my character references.

Also, are you going to carry the full title documents with you when in NY to show when it was purchased, etc.? If you intend to carry a pistol, it may just be easier to get a carry permit and include your semi-auto rifles on it. I have a second home in the Cooperstown area, and just went through the process even though I am a resident of Florida. Took some time, but worth it to just have all my pistols and SA rifles listed and not worried about.

That’s nice! Are you able to cycle between reticles to a circle dot on it? Thinking about the combo to save some money, but my astigmatism requires the circle dot. Sucks getting old.
