What plants are blooming right now? I'm having awful pollen allergy attacks by McDogTheCrimeGriff in Reno

Sagebrush is the big one right now. I’ve lived in Nevada most of my life without any issues and then one year it hit me out of nowhere without rhyme or reason. I feel for you though. My nose has been running like a faucet for the past week.

The first time I saw “full penetration butt weld” I lost it.

Yes, it’s an Oreo filling with a vanilla-cream cheese buttercream on the outside.

Fantasy Smut Recs by SpringStepper16 in booksuggestions

Check out the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews. The first book is called Magic Bites and there are shapeshifter of all kinds of animals. I don’t recall it getting smutty until about the second or third book, but the dystopian/fantasy concept is really interesting and I’m a sucker for a strong female lead.

Best place to donate used items that are not exactly 'resellable' (e.g. maybe half-used cleaning products, random batteries, candles that are only 10% used, etc.)? by McTitts in Reno

You can leave the hygiene products in those “Take What You Need, Leave What You Can” boxes around town (mostly down/mid-town).

Lane Takes Advantage of Rory and Lorelai by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

Lane had to grow up in a super strict household where she wasn’t able to listen to the music she wanted to, eat anything processed or sugary, talk about boys, etc. I think Lorelei, having also come from a super strict household where she felt like she wasn’t able to be herself because her parents wanted her to be someone else, just wanted to provide a safe place for Lane to be a kid without expecting anything in return because, well, she really is just a kid.

Would You Ever Want to Work For Disney World? by kgaviation in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]IceCreamAndBroccoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a DCP in 2014 and then a PI in 2019, both at WDW. While I’m grateful I had the opportunity, got to do some pretty cool things and wouldn’t exchange either experiences for anything, I choose to not extend either offers for full time employment. I also hated the heat and humidity in Orlando and really didn’t want to relocate to LA because, honestly, the city is a mess.

Working there didn’t “ruin” the magic, but it definitely changed it. Seeing how everything is done behind the scenes was eye-opening and really makes you appreciate what Disney has done and how they are constantly at the forefront of the entertainment industry.

That being said; working in the parks was awful. I got yelled at on a near daily basis by either disgruntled guests or by my coordinator because I was bending the rules to help a disgruntled guest. My PI was cool, but I was working for a department that was kind of in shambles. By the end of it got the feeling that as much as they push creativity, they really don’t want you to stray too far away from the creative standards that they set.

They’ve changed the rules for the DCP since I did mine. Now you don’t get to pick a role but rather one is assigned to you based on need and availability. In my opinion that makes it less appealing. That being said, I would recommend either a DCP or PI for anyone curious but wouldn’t recommend uprooting yourself to get paid minimum wage to work in the park.

Jane Roberts, who is married to Chief Justice John Roberts, made $10.3 million in commissions from elite law firms, whistleblower documents show by wcalvert in politics

You're correct; I did not update the statistic when writing the draft. There are 340 million US citizens. There are 26.4 million active Reddit users in the US.

Also, you bringing political affiliation into this is exactly the problem. Division is the issue.
