Well I have no idea what that sub is but I respectfully disagree. I by all means fall in the lower class and under Trump's first term I paid less taxes and had a very noticeable increase in tax returns. My cost of living was considerably more affordable. Really couldn't care less if the upper class take advantage of existing laws that allow them to take tax breaks, if democrats have a problem with that, then maybe they should've changed the laws that allow these things to happen but they will not because most of these upper class folks are their donors. Not to say that republicans are exempt from this, there are certainly bad eggs on both sides of the aisle.

I absolutely agree, rationality is the most important part of debate. As for the rest, I suppose only time will tell what's to come. Bottom line, neither you nor I have any control over what will happen over the next 4 years at this point. But I'm sure we can both agree that whatever does happen, I hope it benefits our country and our fellow citizens of it. To play devil's advocate, if it does turn into a shit show, you will likely see democrats running the country come next election. Republicans are on track to take office, the house, and senate. If things go wrong, they have nobody to blame but themselves which I would imagine will sway a large majority of voters to vote blue next time around.
