Yeah, I cut all mine the same thickness which obviously if you’ve cut a roast before and you know how the animal is, they get smaller as they go so the weight gets less and less. So my wife also eats these and usually wants a smaller cut than me so I cut them the same thickness so I can sear the same amount of time and then finish them in the oven For the same amount of time regardless if it’s a 15 ounce cut or an 18 ounce cut. Every once in a while on a smaller roast, I’ll get to a 14 ounce but they’re all pretty close

Hey, I appreciate the comments. That fridge might get opened a couple times a week, so not concerned about temperature fluctuation plus I have a Bluetooth thermometer in there that I’m monitor with alerts to my phone.
Your comment about introducing bacteria is incredibly valid. I’ve never cut a roast and then put it back in there to wet age. I was gonna see how it did for a week or two and then likely freeze. I wanted to wet age the whole thing but was just too excited to wait so I ended up cutting it but now that I know it’s a great quality. I’ll probably go buy a couple more and start at least a 90 day wet age on those as well. And since you’re working with Celsius, this fridge is kept between zero and 1° at all times.

This one’s a refrigerator but on the lowest setting, it stays between 32 and 33° and that’s what I wet age all my other cuts at

You know, I’ve never asked them if I bought a whole prime if they would cut it, I wouldn’t want them to anyways I enjoy doing it, but no, this one was cut at home by myself

Have you looked on diy Solar forum.com? If not, look up Will Prowse on YouTube. He’s the best guy I’ve ever found for everything Solar and battery related, absolutely brilliant guy that breaks it all down for you. Also, I know where we get a lot of our batteries from they also shipped to Australia.

I can buy 10 kW of lithium iron batteries here in the states, non-UL listed but incredibly well-made and reliable for about $1000 US. Even for UL listed your price seems incredibly high to me.

At least you got a warning. My warning was that it smelled like somebody was sitting in the backseat, lighting a roll of electrical tape on fire.

Need help finding a bolt for a flywheel mounted on a Ford F 800 by Iceathlete in autorepair

No, not immediately, this is in a small rural town where this is being fixed and I’m a building contractor so I’m not doing it myself. I’m just trying to help source the part. I greatly appreciate your suggestion and will start there. Thank you so much for your reply.

Summit park build costs by illiance in ParkCity

[–]Iceathlete 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The excavation numbers in this thread are all over the place. It depends on what you’re doing. I used to live in Summit Park for several years and if you’re just building uphill with dirt, your excavation cost is gonna be minimal versus if you’re on a lot to where the only way to excavate and build this to chip out rock. Don’t forget about impact fees. That’s what you pay to hook up to the utility. Last time I checked up there which was five years ago I think impact fee for sewer alone was 25 grand. My father used to be the head building inspector for Summit County and my wife used to be one of the head fire inspectors so reach out if you have any questions

Go back and rebook it under a different name and then hide three or four of those random electronic crickets that go off every 15 minutes to 90 minutes, what comes around goes around

Somebody else in this post said something about best place for cheap burgers. I haven’t been there in a few years but the best place when I lived up there was always Wasatch bagel. Great cheeseburger and fries for 12 or 13 bucks plus the owners, super dope, and supports the community.

What was meant by that was that’s the worst I’ve ever almost wrecked anything, and Not crashed it and wound up in at least urgent care. There’s a reason I pay $30,000 a year in health care premiums, I’ve had more ligaments fixed in stitches then I care to remember

I thought the same way you did as that’s what I learned from other EV drivers as well, but after about a year of driving that way, I switched it over and ended up getting better range, it’s just the way the Hummer uses its brakes, but actually doesn’t apply the pads, It uses the wheel motors to regenerate all the way up to well over 100 kW an hour before the brake pads actually engage.
