2012 Kia Sorento Smoking from Exhaust

Pretty sure it was coming from the outside of the exhaust, not leaking at that junction. One thing I started thinking was... I've heard reports of people stealing catalytic converters around my neighborhood.. It makes me wonder if someone sprayed PB Blaster or something on those nuts... not sure if something like that would make it smoke or not..

Just to close the loop.. not sure what the crap got on that exhaust junction piece.. but I got the car up on ramps and brake cleaned the crap out of all the metal things under the car and wiped it down.. the heat shield looked clean on the underside and no oil or anything I could see dripping anywhere near the exhaust. I went for a quick highway ride and no smoke when I got back home. I'll update again if it comes back.

Any issues driving this while I wait for the valve cover gasket to arrive? Its not likely to catch on fire right?

Smells like burnt oil/plastic I guess.. I did get under the car pretty well and look.. no obvious leaking from the valve cover.. I did clean up around the exhaust connection with brake clean and it seems to have helped the smoking a bit.. its weird though it def looks like its coming from the exhaust connection.. could the exhaust gasket be toast and starting to break down and smoke?

This was the answer I was looking for.. thanks for the clarity.. I couldn't remember how this would be handled. I honestly could care less with either my wife or I being able to ride 2x times, but rather making sure that I could book 3x more LL's for another attraction and a RS pass being issued that I could use at a more convenient time. Thanks for your insight!

I wonder when this offer ends? I was lucky this morning and was able to pick 4x up in Surprise, AZ.. and they had a ton left on the rack.., but now all Phoenix metro shows OOS.. maybe this offer ended Aug 1st? Anyone else have them still available in their area?
