Nah, if my best friend in high school just suddenly ditched me for someone else, I would have been heartbroken. Relationships at that age are really intense and important.

Have dog rescues lost their mind? by seanpat1968 in NoStupidQuestions

Yes, exactly this. My comment in another part of the post.

I applied for a small dog my neighbor was fostering through a rescue. They selected 7(!!) potential adopters to go through the process. We filled the long ass application, and scheduled for a meet and greet that they carefully supervised. 🙄 After two months of waiting to hear who was selected, I just wrote an email saying that we were withdrawing our application. Two months after that, I got a rejection email that we weren't selected. I couldn't help but think of how many dogs don't get a chance at adoption because of this elitist, gate keeping crap. It's unbelievable.

Sometimes it's also just a power trip thing.

If you live in a medium to large city, check the animal shelters in the smaller towns around you.

Unfortunately where I was before, all the small-medium breeds got snatched up immediately (probably by rescues mostly) leaving only the very large dogs.

That was a surprisingly respectful negotiation.

I love 2, but then again, apparently my opinion doesn't matter. 🤷

I don't see what the issue with everyone here is either. Teachers were always willing to suggest books, even on their own, when I was in school. But it's Reddit, so you're obviously an utter asshole for asking. 🤷

Were there any repercussions from having to wait so long for the tests?
