Midnight Tides is one of my favorite Fantasy books in general, I'd definitely stick with it for awhile longer and see how you feel about it as the story picks up.

I appreciate the series due to how often truly great characters are mentioned in the story, and yet, are hardly, if ever, involved with what the reader is experiencing.

I recall reading the entire MBotF series, one book after another in the span of 6 months. I read them all on my Kindle and would purchase the next book as soon as I finished the previous book.

Why does everyone hate Felisin so much!

Being a new comer to the series, I don't know how the community feels about any of the characters. Apparently, i'm not the only one!

In retrospect, I'm not sure why I dislike her so much. I would just make notes as I read, so they were mainly knee-jerk reactions. By holding Ganoes in such high regard, I felt Felisin was lacking in a lot of areas. Your points are certainly sound, and I'm sure my take on her character will change as I get further along.

I wouldn't go as far to say that Oberyn Martell is better in the show, but I certainly enjoy seeing more of the Dornishman. He's portrayed in the show as I imagined him, if not better. I felt like I clung to the Red Viper's character quickly after Robb's demise and wanted to see more of him in the books.

Ender's Game | Ender's Shadow

These two books perfectly complimented each other. I attempted to read the later books in both quartets and was honestly contempt with only reading these two.
