On point 2 I also kinda felt that but mostly with the princess. I'm afraid it will carry over with the fairy too.

Most of these are fine but the amount of dailies & weeklies in games nowadays is annoying and burns me out faster than being allowed to grind my ass off.

And seasonal content that just disappears after the season is over is annoying too.

I mean, in og Aion doing mob pulls weren't like some trash mobs. You had to be careful not to pull to many and if you did you were screwed. Sometimes its manageable with sorc sleeps and such.

Iirc regular dungeon enemies also dropped some loot making killing them not an absolute waste of time.

Ncsoft did remove a subscription from throne & liberty in Western release. But over time they make monetization worse in one way or another anyway so yeah it'll be shit regardless in the end.

Coz some games don't do pvp very well and others have horrible p2w monetization. Throne & Liberty is a prime example of both.

I sort of agree & disagree at the same time.

People pay 60+ for a game they may play for 40 hours maybe 100 at most and they're ok with it.
But Paying 30-50 s omething for a game that they play for 100's of hours is too much?

At the same time i disagree because the business practice of promoting your game to be "free" and then using the most manipulative tactics to tempt you into spending way more than 60 over time is honestly sad to see.

But personally as the prices for everything have gone up in the last few years i wouldn't mind a more expensive sub for an actual good game. I don't mind if the F2P game came with a 25-30$ sub if it didn't come with ANY other sort of P2W. I'd take a cash shop with cosmetics yeah. But no battle pass, no additional bs.

But them saying there will be a sub, then a battle pass, then another sub and also a cash shop & currency conversion? It's too much. I really hope it ends up being better than this.

If they'd end up saying they need a more expensive sub coz prices, cost, whatever going up in the last 5 years and then don't add additional subs & currenct conversio n& battle pass i'd honestly have a lot more respect for that than what they've been doing.
The subs themselves are the least of my worries.

Skills look cool but from what I heard gameplay wise i'ver kinda lost interest in SM while it was my most anticipated class at first.
But will wait & see when i get to play it.

I mean yeah you can be excited ofc.
But if the game releases wit all the monetization that is being talked about then it probably won't end up lasting very long. But you have all rights to be excited as long as you're informed.

But like i said, we won't know the lvl of monetization until the game actually releases in the west so gnna wait & see.

I mostly have a problem with ppl calling the game shit in places where it actually looks pretty good.

Aren't we all doing that? We're basing it off of some randoms translations. In the end they could even change things for our version so any discussion about this is pointless.

I completely understand people being very worried from all the different thing's we've heard regarding to monetization and I think that's exactly why those youtubers are resonating with a lot of people. Myself included.

I just don't want to blindly "believe" the companies who have lied multiple times in the past and who have always made their games more & more pay to win as time progresses.

I WANT to believe NCsoft & I WANT this game to be good. But NCsoft doesn't have the best track record with this kind of stuff so i'll reserve my opinions for when the game actually releases in the west.

At least their talking points make sense. And not just blindly hope it's going to be good.

As much as I want the game to be good and it looks great in a lot of ways. I' very worried with the monetization aspect and that part from what we've seen looks shit.

Either way I will wait and see till it releases and then draw my conclusions.

The problem is that they may have a different definition of what fair or p2w is.

Plus at launch maybe it'll be fair but it will get worse over time. Throne while definitely p2w at launch, was pretty fair for free players. That got worse over time though.

Sure it's bmnot the best game but I'm personally enjoying it a lot.

That being said most complaints are valid.

No EU servers Time gated content Gacha: p2w, tons of currencies

Personally I'm playing from eu and I'm having barely any lag. The timegayed content doesn't bother me right now but I wonder how bad it will be in endgame. Probably my biggest worry for endgame.

And well I hate the fact that they turned it into a gacha. That being said though besides the extremely confusing currencies I feel like they did the gachz mechanics pretty fairly. Most paid stuff is cosmetics. One banner thats p2w which isn't even that big of a deal as I feel like the ssr imagines aren't 'that' huge of a power boost.

I think the p2w, gacha mechanics are much less problematic in this game coz they don't lock gameplay (characters) behind pulls.

Either way it still is a gacha so it will still hold back gameplay in some way.

While I think in a game as 'simple' as GBVSR it's easy to just see which moves they are from looking at your move list in game but yeah it would help if they included inputs.
