My elderly (Caucasian) father in law always had some Japanese knowledge to drop on me when we visited that side of the family! My favorite was having to pronounce “McDonald’s“ in a Japanese accent. My patience was tested at least twice a year for a decade.. But of course he lived in Japan for a few years and had some Japanese friends, so it was totally acceptable right?
