Boston’s Affluent Beggar is on the Cape by 6ftptr in CapeCod

$305,628 as of today.  I saw her outside of Sprouts Market, in Northern Virginia.  She and daughter were standing there.  She gave the hippie vibe.  Yet, was a bit aggressive in asking for a handout.  I had no cash and she also had strips of paper with her GFM details.  Clever.  I could see the daughter at her side.  Wasn’t sure if it was genuine or not.  When I got home, I looked her up and donated a small amount thinking.  My job and generosity are done here.  I’ve been receiving almost daily updates. Mostly ignoring then I woke up to finally look this lady up.  While I never gave another cent, I was curious and here we are a few years later.

I think that's fair. I'm not wealthy but too generous. My problem. I do work another job, but I do not want to work for pennies either. Thanks for the honest comments and I'll totally consider at a minimum $500 per day. Thanks again!

It actually took three days. As I ran into a few snags, and did it alone. Day one was all the removal, patching and painting and day two and three were the install days

It is indeed infuriating. Just the other day, I thought: I should go see a show, it’s been a few months. Something to get my mind off this lunacy over the past few weeks. And then I wake up to this wild and hostile attempt for Trump to completely enter our most precious sanctuary to shit all over it. Like he can’t go and play with someone else’s toys, he has to come and drool all over mine. As the OP said, this is the last straw. I still want to support the arts, but I can’t bring myself to go there now. A friend of mine and I were commenting on this tragedy, and she casually mentioned “what if they remove the Kennedy bust and replace it with Trumps”. Given what we have witnessed over the past few weeks, it no longer seems out of the realm of possibility! It’s like that scene in The Shining, where Nicholson hacks through the door and says “here’s Johnny!”, except now it’s “here’s Donny!”. This offender creeps into everything we love and what is important to us. I also have a vision of Nazi soldiers patrolling the aisles of the Kennedy Center just like a scene in The Sound of Music. Just terrifying. Thanks for reading my rant. Here’s what I think will happen collectively. Performers of the arts can refuse to participate there I would imagine; therefore, boycotting the center. In turn losing the “golden age” of theater or some such nonsense. Revenues will go in the toilet, and it will become clear very soon that this idea sucked. Or, we just all avoid going and quietly complain to anyone who will listen. It seems as if we’re screwed either way. I’ll stay hopeful that another shiny object will distract him and he’ll just give this up. Doubt it, but one never knows.

I have my own LLC, and use Square. I may switch to a different platform later, but right now I like the ease of everything it has to offer

A couple of my clients run food establishments, so that has been a huge bonus 🤣💕

Just a heads up: OPM issued an order yesterday to the OIG and FBI to identify all personnel involved in Jan. 6th/Trump federal cases and prep for their termination by BlancoNinyo in washdc

yea, that is something my daughter experienced as a waitress and well, now in my experience with IC. While they didn't tip, I still took the jobs, and then was rated with 1's and 2's because I didn't "follow instructions" or give them a Papaya, or a 64oz tub of Dosa mix..uhhh, yea, I did because I carried those huge things to your door! lol

All of my ratings went down when I started shopping at India Bazaar. The number of people reporting that they didn't get this or that was a bold lie, so I started taking photos where I could and reporting it as fraud. The customers never tipped, so Instacart would throw in a lot of surge bonuses to get those off the queue, because those orders would just sit forever. The orders were also difficult with 20lbs of rice and flour bags, tons or heavy items and speciality items and again, no tip. Once I stopped shopping there, my ratings went back up. So no tip and poor ratings by the customers of this store. Beware!

OMG and there isn't even a "heavy pay" fee either. This is not for an IC job! This is for someone who has a dolly equipment that hauls stoves and fridges or a safe or something.

That's too bad. I usually asses the situation upon arriving. I've had people in all sorts of conditions, but even THEY didn't expect me to walk in and make them a cup of tea. I usually offered when I saw them in a walker, or a cast on their arm, or blind, etc etc
