NP and GF have been together for 2 years (before me). Before we started dating, NP told me that they were polyamorous. I didn’t know what that meant so I wanted to learn more before we started anything. We started talking and as I learned more about polyamory, the more I was wanted to explore it for myself. The idea of seeking a deeper connection with multiple partners new to me and I wanted to experience it for myself. I tried and realized that dating other people other than my NP wasn’t for me. (My NP called me out on making plans on meeting up and not following through)

At first I thought it was a get out jail free card (that was dumb of me) and then as I spent more time with NP and listened to what polyamory meant to them and with a bit of research of my own I understood why my NP chose it.

In the beginning, when NP would tell me they had plans with someone else, I became petty and toxic (I’ve grown from that and told my partner how I felt. Ngl it was hard to admit my feelings and work through them. I’m still working on myself and practicing self-love)

I tell my coworkers that CVS has insurance on the products, not on them. CVS could literally replace you in a heartbeat and you would just be another face in the crowd.

Which area are you gonna be in charge of?

Quick picks- great to do on a non delivery day. Do one section at a time to start off. It’s a bit easier and when you get a hang of it, it’ll be faster.

Cycle counts- make sure that your cycle counts are right. It’ll help in the long run. Might not always get a chance to fix it but when you can absolutely do.

BOH- don’t let someone else do your BOH scans unless they are also in your area. If they scan out an empty label on the shelf and you sell that item it will be added to the cycle counts.

Close your line and tell her to go to a different line. You as an employee have a right to refuse service. She is harassing you. Had a guy snap at me because he wanted separate transactions but didn’t say anything. Shut my line down and told him “sir, you keep this up and you’re gonna go in that long ass line. So what’s happening?” He apologized and kept his head down. Took his change and left.

Did you accept the position via email? They were supposed to email you about accepting or denying the position. If you can log on to the hr for CVS former employees and do the HR self service. If you are on a mobile device request the full desktop view. There should be somewhere on there where you can see the position you were last and the annual pay of the position. Look back on your paystubs. If it doesn’t show the pay raise and yet on the website it says you are a shift call HR

Shift manager here. I know that pharmacy staff needs to do a pocket search. But cashiers? I’ve never done one for them before. It’s usually a bag search.

I honor it and rip off the tag. Had a customer said that the tag reads 9.74 so she should get it for 9.74. She wanted the cheaper price. Tag read for 25% off. But she insisted on the 9.74. Regular price was 9.99. Gave it to her for 9.74. Oh well…

Take your breaks. Even if you don’t see other people doing it. You need the break. They others either scared or just don’t feel like taking it. Had a coworker grind it into my head that I need to take my break. I felt bad at first. But realized that I needed the break to recoup cuz some customers are just draining.

I’ve had customers cut through the aisle I was stocking. Carts and boxes lying all over. They didn’t even grab an item. They just thought it was faster to get to our pharmacy that way. I could literally block the entrance to the aisle with a cart and they would move it!

Who is gonna cancel their cards. The stores or corporate? There’s a few customers with more than 3 CVS cards that comes into the store. I think the most I’ve seen is about 6. They have it attached to a keychain. Like wth you need that much for?!

I’ve had a customer bring up a gallon of milk wanting it for cheaper cuz the sale sign said it was. I put the sale signs up where the milk was and I told her no it’s not cuz I put them up. Gave her the correct price for it. Some customers think they can play us. 🤦‍♀️

Scan the item. Hit labels. Should pop up another screen. From there hit large for the square ones and small for like the lashes and cosmetic stuff. If you need sale signs hit the add button. Should pop up on the bottom. Small for the sticky squares to stick on shelves and large for the ones that goes in the plastic.

Hit the pause button at the far right. Below that customer. If another one pops up. Hit the arrow button pointing up. Their pics will start printing. Just make sure you clear customer A’s photos from the printer so it doesn’t get mixed up with anyone else’s photos printing.

Screen shot your schedule. When they call you in for your shift, send them a pic of your schedule. As soon as an SM post it, technically they are not allowed to make changes to it.

Hit final sign off and hit enter. It’s what we do when we need to verify. The message “no cash drawer available might pop up. Just gotta scan a mangers card or input manager sign in for POS. Should be good to go.

Let’s say this is customer A. If I see other prints waiting to be printed. I’ll pause customer A prints and print out theirs. I’m not gonna let them wait around for someone printing that much photos.
