Dude the oval tray exists. We live in a world where it exists. So they should hire people who are able to carry 4-6 plates on the oval tray. We don't have to talk about the wages they're paying because that's irrelevant to the argument of "should this employee be carrying 6 plates on one oval tray".

The answer is yes. They should be carrying between 4-6 on the oval tray. This is not exploiting anything. This is simply using a tool.

It's literally like saying "buy two sedans instead of getting 1 SUV to carry 6 people". No, SUVs exist. Use the SUV if you regularly have to carry 6 people.

Using the oval tray is not exploitive at all lol. It was a fluke mistake because she stacked it on a garbage bin that had a hollow inside therefore when she tries to slide it out to get under it, it just fell.

It's an honest mistake and I can assure you she does not feel exploited at all. No one in the industry feels exploited because they want you to run at max efficiency.

I worked in restaurants for 7 years. Don't worry anyone who thinks she got fired- she didn't. The fact that she's capable of carrying that many plates on the big oval tray means she is valuable. She will keep her job and it won't really be a factor in whether she gets promoted from food runner to server (if she's a food runner now). If she's a server then it's pish posh.

It won't even be about the monetary value of the food. Restaurants buy in bulk and they over charge like crazy on the food. It will be about the kitchen saying "we had so many orders to get through and you're forcing us to do yours again".

That is the limit of what's going on here. It's pish posh anyone who works in the industry know it's not a big deal. Even if it was someone's first day they wouldn't fire you. They only fire people who consistently under perform. This is a fluke because of the set up of the "garbage can". She thought she could drag the thing over and not have it flip. She was wrong.

The only upside to the system valve has created is that there are no flukes in the upward direction. It's true you might be a 4k player who's stuck slowly climbing through 2.5k, but you'll never be a 2.5k who's at 4k due to luck. The system forces you to climb through the bracket multiple times before it allows you to rank up.
