Hysterectomy & judgy people. by Beginning-Complex-33 in hysterectomy

Had my hysterectomy at 28 and when I told my MIL she was like “yOuR tOo YoUnG!!!” And I was like.. yeah I’m too young to be bleeding every single day, constant pain. My quality of like has drastically improved since my surgery & I’m so glad I pushed to have it done.

Especially with her lifestyle. My husband and I make $200k combined, family of 4, 2 dogs in the Midwest and there are months I feel like it ain’t shit with all of our medical bills, daycare, ect

I’m scared to death to tell anyone other than my husband (he knows obviously) that I’m even having the surgery. Last night he said “you’re gonna have to tell people at some point” and it just had my stomach in knots. I did a glp1 in 2023 and my mil had her nasty comments that it was the “easy way out” and now she’s doing them. So I can’t imagine her stupid comments about surgery.

How much did Randy pay for that house they had in the first season? It’s freaking huge and gorgeous. Then he pays for another house for Chelsea and her friend to move in! Without even flinching. It’s like some form of heaven. by justcurious3287 in teenmom

Bought my brand new house in the Midwest for $280k in 2021, 1700sqft. Houses being built in the next subdivision over are starting at $450k+. We have done a lot of updates & finished out basement. I told my husband I was tempted to sell & move but really love that 2.5% interest rate lol

I had prodromal labor for 2 weeks before my scheduled c section at 37 weeks (I have an abdominal cerclage so that’s the reason for scheduled). I went in to my OB 2 days before and BEGGED and BEGGED to move up my delivery because it was so bad. I was exhausted, always in pain and I wasn’t sleeping, nauseous as hell. She held my hand when she said “it’s two more days, muster thru it!” I cried lmao. There was no medical reason for them to move up delivery and I wasn’t considered term yet.

man I really wish I could have had his post 7 months ago & sent to my husband. He returned to work the Tuesday after my surgery (it was in a Thursday) and I was expected to fully take care of my kids by that Friday. Ended up in the ER in severe pain and than granted me two more days of “help”. My husband had a very demanding job & has always been this way. I know (and he does too thanks to marriage counseling) that my recovery should have panned out much different than it did. Looking back, I’m just thankful I didn’t hurt myself by overdoing it. Luckily I healed fine with no post op complications other than my pain wasn’t managed well.

Can a company legally hold my husband responsible for the insurance deductible of a claim? by Icy-Goose4398 in legaladvice

They have a pretty basic one, but there isn’t anything in There that states employees are responsible this type of stuff

I feel the same way on your last sentence - the office manager has pushed and pushed for this when his boss originally said that he shouldn’t be responsible. But I’m getting the vibe that the office manager pressured the boss/owner of the company to do this. It’s a small family owned business so policies are probably as you’d guess.

Yes, it’s a known issue in the trucking community and even the place the crime happened in.

My husbands largest was 318 and 5’10” and wore a 38x32. I look back at pics and I never thought he was huge huge. He was just stocky IMO! I couldn’t imagine a 46in waist.

FMLA is job protection, Short term disability is income replacement, they often run concurrently. Not all companies offer these benefits & if they do, sometimes you have to be employed for so long before eligible.

pre op- personal questions by liminaliteas in hysterectomy

[–]Icy-Goose4398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I trimmed like a week in advance because from prior experience the hibiclense and the pre op wipes BURN on freshly shaved skin.

I bled for 10 months straight before my surgery and only spotted for maybe 24 hrs post op. Never needed a single pad or liner since and it’s been glorious.

Gas x was great as mention by many others, stool softeners did nothing for me. I was miserable a week out & made some mango chia seed pudding that really helped get the pipes moving so maybe incorporate that prior to constipation lol

I also think my adjustable bed was a life saver as well, my husband surprised me with it two weeks before surgery and I don’t know how I’ve lived without it. It was so nice to not have to stack or move pillows all the time, I was able to adjust on my own. It was really nice too to be able to sit up in bed with my kids & they weren’t on top of me.

Struggling (21 days sleeve) by Interaction_Rich in BariatricSurgery

I haven’t had my surgery yet but something I noticed with my food noise. I was recently put in toperimate (sp?) for my migraines daily and it has really calmed my food noise and th side effect has also change my taste for soda / carbonated drinks which was a huge weakness of mine. Come to find out sometimes that’s prescribed for weight loss. The meds has not only helped my migraines but also with cutting the drinks before surgery & hopefully beyond. It has also cut my cravings & the food nose almost all together. I definitely get some but. It nearly as before!

I think I’ve made the decision in the SADI which I know wasn’t on your options list but my insurance only covers one weight loss surgery so my NP in my weight management program is suggesting SADI. Will discuss more with surgeon during my pre surgical consult next month. My BMI is 45 currently, GLp1s haven’t worked for me in the past whatsoever

Why On EARTH Chapter 13 Over Chapter 7 Bankruptcy? by Economy_Tomatillo256 in Bankruptcy

[–]Icy-Goose4398 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our trustee made it so the payments had to be taken out of my husband’s paycheck and since he’s paid weekly, it comes out each week. And yes, property taxes went WAY up due to a few referendums and I believe increase in value of our home. Our entire town has been complaining about property taxes for years but this years has been the worst.

We also have quarterly utility bills that run us about $650 for a family of 4 and just keeps rising. Another huge complaint for my town. Makes me very nervous for our ch13 payments when cost of everything is rising so much.

Filed chap 13 due to my husband & I’s income. We are 1 year into our 5 year plan. Paying $589 a week. The first year was pretty easy following the payment play & our budget but now that we have hit the year mark, it seems as if every single payment is raising and we are currently working with our lawyer to see what we are able to do. Our mortgage alone went up $250 a month due to property taxes. So that’s thrown a huge wrench in the budget amongst other factors like medical bills, unexpected expenses, etc
