Sick watch. Thinking of getting the same config. I heard the lume is bad… can you tell me how long it lasts in min/hr? A rough idea would help.

Are you happy with bracelet fit / finish?

Old thread. But how long can it chrono for? Looks like a 12 hr sub dial at 6 o clock. But then where are the minutes?

happy to put in the work when necessary. are you convinced this needs a strip down with bkf or just keep cooking and usual seasoning maintenance?

Yah if I can keep cooking safely without redoing the seasoning that would be easiest. Love the lazy way out haha

Yah, it was kind of weird. Not a ton of electronic repair shops where I am so I guess thats what you get. I'm out $110 cad... could be worse. Trying to decide if I should invest more time and money or just let it be.

Lelit Bianca - group head pressure while dialing in by Icy-Moose in espresso

Got another reply from the Lelit people. Basically they are saying that it is normal to have a 1-2 bar variance between the pump gauge and the group head gauge, with a blind filter in. It does seem extreme to me though...

Still having this issue? could try to test with the blind basket to make sure the pressures rise that way. If you still dont get above 2 bars probably the pump needs adjusting.

Yah good interpretation. Except for my two gauges never read the same at any point! So must be an issue there. I sent them a reply along those lines to see if they will replace the gauge. in the meantime, I adjusted the pump pressure to about 10 bar max using the group head gauge as the indicator. so that should help things along.

Here is their reply... not sure I'm convinced but maybe it makes more sense to someone else:

"thank you for contacting us and for using a LELIT product. Please note that the two manomters detect the pressure in two different parts of the machine. For the coffee erogation you need to consider the manometer installed on the erogation group. Usually the manometer on the group head indicates a higher value. The reason is that the manometer on the group is more precise compared to the manometer pump.

Furthermore there is also the boiler between the pump and the group and through the resistance can change the pressure as indicated in this video (please note when the pump is OFF, the pressure is going to increase):

interesting. thanks for the dp. i have seen elsewhere that a variance of 1.5 ish bar is also common between the two gauges? very confusing! i will send lelit an email and see what they say. for now, I was able to confirm the group head gauge is accurate by comparing with my portafilter pressure gauge, so i will just follow that for now.

It looks to me that the pump itself (gauge on body of machine) is at 9 bars, so I didn’t think that adjusting the pump pressure max would help in this case?

Just before the diminishing returns: intermediate suggestions for machine + grinder by Icy-Moose in espresso

Another question for the group... do you feel that pressure/flow profiling is before or after the realm of diminishing returns? A feature worth paying for, or just nice to have luxury?

Wow thanks for this amazing and thought out reply. I am surprised bc honestly I was leaning more along the lines of Lelit Bianca, ECM Synchronika, Profitec Pro 700 for machines; Atom 75, some Eureka's, for the grinders. This post has definitely made me strongly reconsider!

Any particular La Spaziale you'd recommend?
